Welcome. Hotel Saint George is a 55-room independent hotel located in downtown Marfa. A modern hotel in a historic footprint, the Hotel Saint George is an integral part of the thriving Marfa tourism scene. With its restaurant, bar/lounge, pool, and 55 rooms and suites - all in the heart of downtown Marfa - Hotel Saint George is a hub of activity for both visitors and locals alike.

Built in 1930 amid the Depression, Hotel Paisano became a West Texas landmark. Cattle ranchers and tourists frequented it, earning its "most elegant" title. Em Mallan bought it in 1947, then Warner Bros. used it as HQ for "GIANT" in 1955, hosting stars like Taylor, Hudson, and Dean. A pool was added in 1960. Frank Jones saved it from closure in 1967. Later, it became timeshares, then fell into disrepair. In 2001, it was auctioned, reborn with 17 rooms. Today the Hotel Paisano is completely renovated with 42 rooms including a number of suites as well as original historic rooms, a seasonally heated pool, 3,000 sq ft of retail and office space, a 3,000 sq ft ballroom and conference space, fitness center, GIANT memorabilia room, and a restaurant and lounge with courtyard seating. The Hotel Paisano is once again a destination in West Texas.
