Before I was a photographer, I grew up in the wedding industry. Spending my summers surrounded by tulle, sewing machines, and brides-to-be. Long Island has been my home my whole my life and I’m always reminded that I’m never to far from the beach and fall is the best weather. I went to college at Stony Brook University studying business and marketing and keeping photography as my hobby. I chose to name my company Papillon Photography, Papillon in French means butterfly’s. Butterfly’s are significant to most and when I shoot couples, families, product or I’m behind the scenes editing the images are being transformed into something beautiful.

Building connections with my subjects is super important to me...the more comfortable you are with the person taking photos, the more comfortable you'll be in front of the camera! I moved to New York City in 2000 after graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in art and a concentration in photography. I started photographing weddings in New York City in 2002. In 2006 Bob Moyers, (my then finance-now husband) started photographing weddings with me, and we have been shooting together ever since! My background in fine art photography and Bob’s background in commercial photography blend seamlessly to produce a wholly unique interpretation of each wedding we photograph.

With over 9 years of professional photography experience, I fell in love with love and the ability to capture it in a single image. I have always found change to be hard.. That is why I began to document. When I was just 14, my dad gave me his old canon and it became a piece of me and my story. I brought my camera everywhere!!!. Some people know me better with a camera in front of my face, than without it! I am not much of a journal writer, but my photos do the story telling for years to come, and that’s why I love it. I love being able to look back at images and remember the smells, sounds, and emotions that made for such a magical moment.
