I have enjoyed her cakes for several birthdays and special events, including my cousin's gender reveal party, and they're always delicious and built to perfection. She's super flexible and can really make your cake ideas come to life. And she really is so versatile: she can make something elegant and refined for your wedding, or something fun and wacky for your bachelorette. She's making my 3-tier wedding cake and she's been communicative and collaborative throughout the whole process. On top of that, she's got a really cute cafe in Wappingers with coffee and all sorts of baked goodies. I can't recommend her enough, it's been a joy to support this local female-owned business!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Crystle! She was one of my favorite vendors to work with. Our cake was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to surprise my husband with a mini anniversary one. Pricing is beyond reasonable. She was able a figure I got made of my pupper taking a bite out of our cake. She did an absolutely stunning job and I can’t rant and rave enough about how perfect our cake was!!! Our guests continue to ask us where it was from because it was soooooo delicious !!!!!”

Ira Gutner packed his bags, left a successful career in New York City’s Garment District and moved upstate to open Samuel’s of Rhinebeck, a boutique candy and coffee shop in the heart of bucolic Dutchess County. Ira named his shop after his late Uncle Sam who introduced him as a boy to penny candy. I began working for Ira as a 15-year-old after school and diligently worked my way up to store manager. Ira’s sudden passing in April 2014 left all of us in the community stunned and heartbroken.
