My team of DJs and I truly appreciate it. A little background on who I am and what sets Frederick DJs apart from the rest. Starting as a DJ as a kid, yes, a kid of only 14! I took a huge interest in the entertainment industry. It started a little before then, but that’s when I got into DJing. I fell in love with playing music for others while working at a roller-skating rink. (Wisconsin Sk8 University) I later moved on from the roller rink where I became a DJ assistant for a solo DJ who specialized in weddings. Let’s just day that gave me a whole new love for the job.

Lucy Black Entertainment is a women and musician-owned, bespoke luxury events company based in the Washington, D.C. area, and available worldwide. With a father who loves Miles Davis and a mother who adores Smokey Robinson, Cecily grew up surrounded by the music in her parents vast record collection, and was captivated by the works of Minnie Riperton, Gil Scott-Heron, Anita Baker, and Phyllis Hyman. After college, Cecily looked to these rich, soulful sounds from her childhood, and channeled them into her own music. Known for her sweet soprano, honest lyrics and pure vocals, Cecily brings her own vulnerability to each song, telling her story, and hopes that, at the end, the audience feels vulnerable enough to tell their own stories.

Aaron is a high end DJ who has worked all over the DC and Northern Virginia area. He began to DJ in 1995, performing at countless clubs and bars in Atlanta to help support his music career as a bass player. Aaron’s love of music began in high school playing bass in jazz band.

Dom Petrellese is a professional guitarist, educator, arranger, and booking agent based in Washington DC. As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has had the opportunity to perform worldwide as both a bandleader and a sideman with noteworthy names such as The Drifters, Yakov Smirnoff, The Platters, The Coasters, The Temptations, and Lou Gazzara, just to name a few. His music career thus far has brought him to 60 different countries on 4 continents. Currently, Dom adheres to a busy gig schedule in the Washington DC area, performing regularly at some of the area’s most recognized venues with a variety of different artists and projects.

Grant Kuhnsman, who performs as DJ ARIA, is a critically acclaimed, award-winning DJ from Washington, DC. He began creating mixtapes and curating his music collection at a young age. By his teenage years, he was introduced to the turntable and learned how to beatmatch by ear with vinyl.
