This national historic site was built in 1896. All the original details have been preserved. The House can accommodate seated events of up to 200 guests, or a small, relaxed brunch in the gardens. White wainscoting adorns the rooms throughout the mansion, while floral wallpaper and neutral colored walls create a traditional look. Chandeliers glitter from the ceiling and delicately designed furniture grace the rooms. Outside, their gardens are flawlessly landscaped, for a romantic ceremony setting. Nestled in the manicured landscape are a gazebo, pergola, and fountain for doses of whimsy. Built By Dimmick Drake in 1906, Castle Inn was the last of the great hotels to be built in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania. Tourists flocked to the Gap to escape the summer heat and enjoy the beauty of the Delaware River. Designed by German architect Robert Brueckner, Castle Inn was constructed of poured concrete and timber beams, a European construction technique unusual in the United States at the time.
