Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Helianthus is the Latin term for sunflower and comes from the root Helio and Greek Helios, meaning Sun. As sunflowers are growing and beginning to bloom, they turn their heads towards the sun - I find this to be a great analogy for faith in Jesus. As we are growing and blooming in any stage of life, we should be continually turning our heads to the Son. My love of Floriculture and Horticulture began when I was young thanks to parents that loved to garden and create breathtaking displays of flowers. That love continued through school and became my passion in college. After gaining a BS from Michigan State University in Horticulture/Floriculture and Landscape Design, I began my career. In 1995, I began Mark Bryan Designs with a eye towards creating unique floral designs for events and weddings.

I adore flowers. They hold an extraordinary power for me as an art form; colors that I can blend and swirl like paint, shapes and textures to mold like clay.
