“Can't say enough good things about Kate! Kate's photos looked fun and candid, but still beautiful, and the prices were quite reasonable (we researched dozens of photographers). When we messaged her, she was so responsive and fun we knew we had to have her no matter what. She was very thorough, making sure we got the pictures WE wanted, and not what our parents or other guests might be thinking. Everything was laid out way ahead of time so we all knew what to expect. I really appreciated the planning beforehand, because while it can be a lot, it made the actual wedding day/week SO much smoother. Pictures took about 6 weeks, which was great turn around for *over 600 photos*. We absolutely love them! Some of the photos are gorgeous posed shots of my husband and I that I'm absolutely getting framed, but some of the best are these candid moments from after the wedding and reception. She got us signing our marriage license, hugging and crying with our guests, and doing finger guns with my sister at the reception. She didn't miss a thing and it's the best recreation of the day we could've possibly asked for. “So first off, the first things I asked her were; are you LGBT friendly, can you handle my anxiety, and can you photograph fat people?? Her answer was yes to all....and she exceeded my expectations. I do not talk much nor do I speak my mind ever, but I felt immediately comfortable with Taylor the second I saw her. Prior to that actually because we had texted a lot. She’s very hands-on. I booked her almost a year ago it feels like, but because of covid and other things out of our control we had to reschedule multiple times. Taylor was SO accommodating every single time. She never seemed bothered by us even though I guarantee she had to be. We are a hot mess! We changed the location multiple times, including TWO DAYS before the ceremony, I was late to my own elopement and on the way there my daughter spilled make up all over her clothes so we had to turn around for an outfit change!! Taylor was so kind and friendly. We told her in the beginning that mine and my wife’s height difference was an insecurity of ours and she made the angles work to where we didn’t look that far off at all. “We booked Tomi Photopositive for our October 2024 wedding in Genesee Park, Colorado, and got exactly what all of his other perfect reviews rave about; Relentless compassion and positivity, regular and professional communication, timeliness in every regard, and of course an amazing collection of photos we get to cherish for the rest of our lives. We struggled to find an affordable photographer for our simple and small wedding. Some quotes came in exorbitantly high. One even wanted us to sign a contract before we could even schedule a virtual meet & greet to see if we'd all vibe. We found Tomi on Wedding wire, and we loved his portfolio (and his pricing almost seemed too good to be true based on his work), so we reached out. We set up a zoom call, and it was clear right away that Tomi loves what he does, and that he cares about his clients. This initial meeting was everything a nervous couple could hope for, it silenced much of the fear of booking someone we knew very little about. Though not included in the wedding photography package, we booked an engagement session with Tomi. I am so glad we did! It was worth every penny! Aside from great photos themselves, it gave us a good feel for how he works ahead of the wedding. Plus, it was fun, and we got some great shots! Tomi will go out of his way for his clients. One example is that he had never been to our venue (Chief Hosa Lodge - if you're looking for a wedding of 35-65 guests) before, so he went to the venue before the wedding to get a feel for all the best spots. He did this on his own time, and did not charge us extra for it. While we had originally hoped for a sunny day and sunset photos overlooking the mountains, we got snow and fog. Tomi seized the opportunity and turned the "disappointing" weather into one of the more memorable aspects of our day. For any couple who is considering not using a photographer, we strongly caution against it. we originally wanted to go that route or was looking for someone cheap (1000). However, finding Tomi was a blessing from God, and his pricing is more than worth it! His photos are eons better than anything you could hope for from an amateur photographer or cell phone grab. And seeing the final polished photos a couple months after the fact is like getting to experience your special day all over again. If you're still reading this, stop and book him. You will not be disappointed.”

“Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. “Whew, where to begin? It’s impossible to fully capture the exceptional experience you’re guaranteed with Forest Picture Company in just a few words. My husband (!) and I chose a long engagement of just over two years. Knowing how important photographs were to both of us and our families, I started searching early for the perfect photographer/videographer. We wanted a team that would capture our true selves—no stale, stagnant, or overly posed pictures. When we found Forest Picture Company, we knew they were the perfect fit! Throughout the time we've been their clients, they've been incredibly accommodating. Their genuine and laid-back personalities make even the most camera-shy feel comfortable. They recommend doing an engagement shoot, which is included in the overall price. I wouldn’t pass up that opportunity for anything! Not only did we get to meet and hang out with Amanda and Zac before the big day, but we also became comfortable being photographed by them—something neither my husband (again—!!) nor I am generally comfortable with. Because of this, our engagement and wedding pictures turned out so much more authentic. Amanda and Zac are extremely passionate about capturing your big day, and it shows in their work. They send detailed questionnaires after meeting with you to triple-check the details and help develop a comprehensive wedding day timeline. When things don’t go according to plan, Amanda and Zac are flexible and adapt seamlessly. They know how to handle not-so-cooperative family members and friends with grace and discretion. They were so incredibly supportive and helpful when my wedding coordinator had to back out a month prior to the wedding. They also carefully highlight your pictures on their social media pages, making you feel exceptionally special! Their editing style is polished but not overly done. The pictures perfectly reflect the day's look and the overall vibe of the wedding! They add their artistic touch in a way that truly captures the essence of the moment. And mind you, the images I’m sharing are only from the sneak peek! Amanda and Zac incorporate little details and personal touches that make you feel special. They genuinely listen to what you and your partner want, and they are truly the best at what they do. Their dedication and love for their craft shine through in every photo and video they produce. We couldn't have asked for a better team to capture our special day! Because of Amanda and Zac, I now have gorgeous pictures and videos that I can always look back on to remember and cherish the most special day of my life!
