BLDG39 is a historic and industrial chic style wedding venue with modern accents located in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. The venue includes free parking available and a 30 x 30 tent (heated in the winter and fans in the summer). Originally erected in 1917 during wartimes, the space has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve the history within its walls. We invite you to come make your mark on history! Our maximum fully seated indoor capacity is 120 guests, and our casual standing reception-style indoor capacity is approximately 150 guests. The use of our outdoor space under the tent increases to approximately 175 guests total standing reception-style (venue + tent).

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is a 134-acre nature preserve, botanical garden, and accredited museum. Today, the preserve contains over 700 of the 2,000 plant species native to Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley, growing in a naturalistic setting of woodlands, meadows, ponds and Pidcock Creek, with about 4.5 miles of walking trails. It is an excellent site for bird-watching. The preserve was established in 1934 within the Washington Crossing Historic Park at the site where George Washington‘s army camped during the American Revolutionary War. Just five miles south of the preserve, Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River to fight and win the Battle of Trenton in 1776.

As we have a New York State Liquor license, we are happy to accommodate cocktails by request and work out a beverage plan that works best for our patrons. Our taproom features 2,500 square feet of usable event space, perfect for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, welcome cocktail hour, bridal shower, engagement party or bachelor/bachelorette party. Bitter Monk is an intimate cocktail bar and the tasting room of our micro-distillery and spirits brand, ATHERAS SPIRITS, specializing in cocktails made primarily from our own house-made Amari, herbal liqueurs and bitters while further exploring our signature style of cocktails that utilizes herbs, spices, wild plants, roots, fruits and flowers, many of which are foraged for us by Tama Matsuoka Wong.
