I'm Jarrod. I'm a wedding photographer based in the US. Originally from Florida and now traveling full-time in a Sprinter van shooting love stories. I like to describe my approach to wedding photography as documentary with an editorial flare. About 80% of the day I am capturing your day as it naturally unfolds in a beautiful way. The other 20% I love to prompt you or direct you to create romantic images that have intention and FEELING. Sometimes portraits will feel romantic and editorial and other times they will feel playful and fun. It fully depends on your personal relationship. “I've been pushing off this review because I just can't find a way to put into words how AMAZING Rob & Lyndi were. Not only were they just all around good people and a pleasure to work with, but they were able to capture some of the best moments of our wedding...SO tough to pick our favorites! I came across Sugar Rush Photo + Video while scrolling through a million different wedding photographer websites and I was sold on their casual/super approachable tone and the great candid shots they featured. My husband and I typically shy away from the camera, but loved the idea of being able to see our guests at their best when they weren't looking. Rob & Lyndi were super responsive the entire time (note: we brought them on with a little over a year to go) and made the whole process easy for us. A lot of people wondered why we were flying our photographers in from Utah, but after the wedding and after looking at the photos, it became clear to everyone. They flew into SF for our outdoor October wedding weekend and it was like we were meeting long lost friends even though we had only exchanged emails. They rocked it at our welcome pig roast and it felt like they were part of the family. That Saturday, they split getting ready duties between two locations, got us ready for a first look in the park before our outdoor ceremony and made each of us look waaaayy better/way more glamorous than we'd ever looked before and captured some great moments with our family. For our formals, we set loose on the city and Lyndi captured what a coworker called the best wedding picture ever in front of the Painted Ladies in Alamo Square Park. We squeezed in a second location before heading into our reception just for fun! We kinda felt like fancy fashion models as we looked through our gallery. The reception was a blast and our guests kept pulling us aside saying how it felt like our photographers were just an extension of our friends and family and that they were just so fun to be around. Rob & Lyndi have such amazing energy and it oozes onto everyone they interact with. I highly recommend them for weddings, engagements (wish we had done that!) and anything else...especially if you're not that comfortable in front of the camera! They make you feel so at ease and like you're laughing with your most inappropriate and hilarious friends. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!”

“June 8th had finally arrived and we were BEYOND excited to get our elopement underway. We had spoke with Meg and Kevin several times over the phone to talk over all the details of the big day— all the conversations helped build our anticipation of the big day. They were SO invested in ensuring we had the best, most memorable, elopement day possible. We received our sneak peak while we were on mini-moon in Destin and we were overwhelmed with excitement at how good they were. We even joked that if all we had were the 60 or so pictures in the sneak peak we would be content. However, upon the arrival of our full gallery, we were obsessed with them! We were so emotional as we felt we were reliving our big day. Meg and Kev’s ability to capture the raw beauty of nature and our raw emotions are second to none! There are so many wonderful pictures, we are going to struggle picking our favorites to print for an album. They are so so SO beautiful and amazing! Meg and Kevin made the elopement super fun to where the pictures did not feel forced or posed. Almost as if we were on a hike with our besties and getting married at the same time. They went above and beyond to accommodate us—from prior prep with location choices, activity suggestions.. to day of things such as having a wagon for things we could not fit in our hiking packs. They were awesome! One hard thing in regard to planning, was being out of state and not being able to see the locations before picking them. Not to worry though, once we settled on a site, Meg and Kev hiked it ahead of time to get current pics of the location along with timing the day out with the required additional hiking. They built trust and confidence with us to ensure that everything would go smoothly. Lastly, since it was just the two of us, we wanted an officiant to make it feel a little more official. Kevin CRUSHED it as an officiant. He took bits and pieces from our phone convos to the surveys we filled out to make it personable. It was SO well done. We still chose to exchange personally written vows, in a different location apart from the ceremony (to fit our hermit personalities) while Meg and Kev captured the moment from afar. Overall— we could not be happier!!”

It was never my intention to become a photographer. I more or less fell into it. When I first married, I had a friend who was a professional photographer. She often wanted company on her shoots and on long wedding days. I soaked up every minute of it. Gaining knowledge here and there with, still, no intention of becoming a photographer. Next thing I know, my sweet husband is buying me a camera and the rest is history. I love people in love, and capturing that love in its entirety. I feel blessed to get to work with such wonderful people. I am now based out of Lehi, Ut, I’ve been photographing for over 12 years!
