“I knew I wanted to work with Andrea immediately from viewing her work on her Instagram page. Her style was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in regards to how we wanted our wedding day documented. Every exchange and phone call with Andrea was as if I was talking to a life long friend who just happened to live 7 hours away. The first time meeting Andrea we also got to meet her assistant Shonda who was the one to shoot our wedding since Andrea was already booked for our date. We planned to view some location sites and ended up just sight seeing around the UP and having an amazing day! Andrea is so passionate about the UP and loves sharing amazing places and local stories with people she meets, we almost forgot we were looking for ceremony locations. We ended up doing a short engagement shot with Andrea which was so comfortable and relaxing and fun to do! Everything she directed us to do was natural and photographed beautifully. She always claims she’s awkward but don’t let her fool you. She will 100% get distracted by rocks, flowers, or mushrooms though, and if you have any interest in nature she is someone you should definitely work with. When our wedding weekend came around, there was some challenges with some strong winds, so the ceremony location the day before of the wedding needed to be changed. Andrea and Shonda scouted new locations for us and found the most beautiful location, it was so perfect I dare say it turned out better than the original location and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Shonda was amazing to work with the day of the wedding, her and Andrea have similar personalities and work styles it was such a pleasure to have her shoot our wedding for us. More so it was SUCH a pleasure meeting these two amazing ladies who were played such an important part in our wedding day. I cannot recommend Lume Photography and Andrea and Shonda enough. They do everything they can to make sure your wedding day is all about you and your partner and make everything so relaxed for you, that you can focus on the love you share on your day.”

“McKenzie was everything I could have asked for in a photographer. I spent a lot of time looking through photographers in the area, as having nice photos to look back on was super important to me. We don't live near where our venue was, so I was a bit nervous about not being able to meet the vendors ahead of time, but this was not a problem at all. McKenzie was very communicative and video called me for our meetings, was up front about the costs and payments, and honestly just so so sweet. I genuinely felt like she was just as excited about my wedding as I was. Her positive attitude was so reassuring and I knew right away that we made the right choice. On our wedding day, she gave great direction for posing, which was super helpful as our bridal party (bride & groom included) were not very experienced working with a professional photographer. I have a pretty big blended family, and McKenzie was so helpful organizing everybody and making sure everyone looked their best for photos (even making it work when some family members made things complicated). We had a videographer as well that McKenzie had never worked with before, but you couldn't tell that they had just met that day, as the worked so well together. When people were at risk of interrupting our photos, she kindly asked them to move, and snuck me out for sunset photos during the ceremony with ease. We had our "sneak peek" photos sent to us only a few days after the wedding which were so sweet to look at during our honeymoon. She even included a sweet card in our card box. Not only is she talented, but she is kind, helpful, understanding, and it felt like I was working with a friend (despite basically being strangers). These are photos I will have to look back on to remember these moments forever and I am so grateful I chose the right photographer. I would highly recommend McKenzie to anyone looking for a wedding photographer, or a photographer for any service she offers.”

“I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Over the course of the experience, we were able to develop a real friendship with her because she is that good of a person. The day of the event, Katy was locked in and on top of everything. Prior to our weekend, she had done an amazing job of giving us prep sheets and coordinating as much detail as possible so the big day could just glide. Katy and her second shooter Jen (who was amazing, too!) were professional, fun and didn't miss a moment of the day. Everything from planned photos to impromptu shots felt fun and natural. Getting back the album completely blew past our expectations. Every photo captured exactly what we had discussed with her. So many photographs left us speechless.
