“Writing reviews was the last things I had on my big ol wedding to-do list. I mostly put it off because I truly did not know how to put into words how perfect most of my vendors were. Jessica was no short of perfection. She was incredibly easy to schedule with, chat with about what I wanted, and offered up advice on all things beauty. Her package deal is incredible, her pre wedding face kit is amazing, her touch up kit is still use to this day, and her own facial products are some of my faves. I didn’t have “mini facial” on my wedding morning timeline but omfg I would tell every bride it’s absolutely necessary. During my trial (at her adorable home studio!) we went in a traditional direction and 5 months later I asked her to pivot entirely and go foundation-less. I’d seen it on her Instagram page and was so impressed and oh man did she pull it off. I felt so natural (I’m not someone who usually wears anything but moisturizer and mascara) and to not have to wear foundation on my wedding day was such a relief. “Last month I got married at The Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island, and I had the pleasure of working with Jackie Fanara, an artist from Melissa’s makeup team. She was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish- it felt like hanging out with an old friend! She is so incredible at making her clients feel comfortable, listened to, and pampered. She went completely above and beyond- when the bridal party was finishing photos outside and it started pouring, she got SOAKED while shielding my bridesmaids and making sure everyone was able to get safely from the park to the vehicles to inside the venue. She literally used herself as a shield and then proceeded to to help everyone get touch ups while they dried off- by the time the ceremony had started, no one would have had an idea that everyone had been rained on. By the end of the day, she was everyone’s best friend. She was an angel that day and I am so thankful she was my artist.
