I have been a serious and successful photographer in the portrait, wedding and fine art fields for over twenty years and while working in London, I was awarded a distinction by The Royal Photographic Society for my documentary portraits. Educated as an artist and photographer through The Brooks Institute of Photography, I was also fortunate enough to study under the late Ansel Adams and attended intensive workshops given by the top wedding photographers in the world including 2MU, Jerry Ghionis, Parker Pfister, Brook Shaden, Cliff Mautner and Paulina Duczman.

When she’s not wrangling your next of kin for formals by asserting her east coast kindness, you will probably find her in the woods, holding her hand in the air to catch a reflection of the sun’s rays. She has a knack for finding locations that make natural surroundings look like professional sets, placing her subjects in an ethereal glow that’s usually reserved for storybook endings. An experienced industry professional through-and-through, she navigates the timeline of the day with a caring, hospitable hand and a keen artistic eye.

Shem Roose is a professional wedding photographer based in Richmond, Vermont. He truly enjoys documenting candid moments, portraits, and details in a way that accurately represents every wedding he shoots. Shem began shooting weddings in 2004 while juggling being a Stay at Home Dad, Husband, and freelance photographer. Not only is Shem’s wife his second photographer, but she also goes the extra mile to help couples, family members, and wedding vendors in almost any situation.
