I started Sammycakes in 2014 with a simple ombré rosette cake. It’s always been a dream and passion of mine to open my own bakery, after being inspired by my mother always baking for special occasions when I was a kid.

Hearth cakes and pastries are based in French technique and method but with a more American take on flavor. It is a mesh of the best two aspects of classic American and French desserts. The cakes tend to have a more whimsical or natural feel to the design.

I am a self-taught macaron baker since fall 2018. When I was introduced to macarons and saw how versatile, pretty and flavorful macarons could be, I decided to perfect the technique so I could provide them at the weddings, showers and birthdays for all my friends. As my experience grew I started receiving requests from people all over Pittsburgh to add a unique twist to their sweetest moments, so much so that in September of 2021, I quit my corporate job to bake full-time! I absolutely love being able to enhance a wedding, baby shower or bridesmaid proposal with some rare, scrumptious treats that everyone is delighted to see and taste.

Opening Brooklyn Girl Bakery was the culmination of years working as a pastry chef and cake decorator in the Philly suburbs. As someone who loved all things wedding related, I decided to venture out on my own so I could focus all my energy making beautiful and delcious cakes.

The Cakery has been a Dayton staple since 1996. The current owners have worked at The Cakery since the early 2000's and love what they do! We know that it is a privilege to be chosen by a couple to be a part of their special day, no matter how big or small it may be. We will work with you to make sure that your dreams and vision come to life! Hello, I'm Jackie! I have loved baking and pastry my whole life! I grew up spending hours in my play kitchen dreaming of a life creating actual food for others. After 12 years in the industry, graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, and competing (and winning!) Sugar Rush on Netflix I finally decided to create Pink Petunia Baking Co. and share my passion with others! Nothing makes me happier than creating desserts for special events (or even just a regular Wednesday!) and celebrating every moment with others through sugar. I hope I can make your next celebration that much sweeter!

Pastry Chef LikLing Khoo started baking at a young age spending time baking with her mom. Trained at California Culinary Academy, she also worked at the famed Tartine Bakery in San Francisco upon graduation in the 2000's. LikLing spent over 10 years working at different resorts, restaurants and bakeries in Vermont and New York honing her skills in all areas of baking and pastry arts. She owned and operated Baker's Dream in New York offering various baked goods and desserts.

Caketini Bar. Co by Jayna & Joey offers a unique one of a kind cake experience for all events such as weddings, birthdays, corporate events, quinces, and the list goes on. You choose 4 cake flavors, fillings, frostings, and toppings. We create a custom menu to place on the cake bar that we bring to your event. Each guest then comes up and tells us their favorite combination, we make it and serve it to them in a cute martini glass and off they go to enjoy their very own caketini creation. We allow your guest to choose the cake they love! Not what’s chosen for them.

Owner Shauna Hinchen-Joyal studied pastry arts at Johnson and Wales University and has worked in the baking industry for over 20 years, making specialty event and wedding cakes as well as her signature pastries. Shauna and her husband and partner Bob have been trained by an expert baristas at Atomic Coffee Roasters and are proud to serve drinks brewed with their beans. All our espresso drinks are made with our gorgeous Italian made La Marzocco machine.
