My name is Chief and I'm the founder of Chief the Creator. This business came about from my passion for shooting and capturing stunning imagery. 27 years ago I called myself a photographer for the first time. I was attending photography school in Sweden and participated in my first gallery show. 2 years earlier I was visiting a friend in LA. I had him chase seagulls on the beach while I snapped away, capturing their flight. I remember that moment I decided to become a photographer. For real. I was discouraged by a job coach after high school, intending a photography eduction. “There are no jobs for photographers!” she barked at me. I took her word for it. I remembered reading an article about the same school, ICP. It had felt like a dream that could never happen to me.
