It was amazing to see my favorite music venue transformed for our wedding, we loved everything about it. Working with event coordinator Mellisa was a great experience, she was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole process. We had rave reviews on the food from our guests, especially the elephant ears for dessert. The chef even made separate dishes for myself and a bridesmaid who are vegetarians. The bar service was also awesome and super friendly. Our guests were very pleased with the variety. The overall flow of the wedding went great, and the team made sure everyone was in their places when needed. We also got to take some pretty awesome photos throughout the venue complex, including the Garden Bowl. The band we hired sounded and looked great with the house lights and sound. I cannot say enough good things, I would do it all over again! It was everything I could have wanted and more. Thank you soooooo much, Majestic Team!!!

Cafe Cortina

5.0

Farmington Hills, MI
  • Up to 150 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Starts at $15,500

Cafe Cortina was founded in 1976 as an 'farm to table' eatery. Built on an original apple orchard, the restaurant has a foodie following. In recent years the restaurant has built a reputation for memorable celebrations, as well as romantic dinners. The casual, yet rustic elegance is the perfect setting for the smaller, and detailed weddings and pre-nup parties. accommodating from 25 up to 150 guests. Very little decor or expense is required to create a beautiful background. The Garden Room leads to private patios where guests are able to meet and mingle by the stone fireplace in the evening for after dinner dessert and coffees. The quality of food and exceptional service have always been priority for patrons, earning Cafe Cortina's reputation for excellence in the hospitality industry.

I never write reviews, but this place is the best kept secret in Michigan. I choose this place for the ambiance, but ended up loving it for the staff. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for almost 25 years, and I’ve never given nor received the level of service we received at Café Cortina. Kelley and Meg made my day forever memorable. The food was amazing. Everything was perfect. I truly felt like I was waited on hand and foot but ultimately the personalities of the staff made it incredible. Thanks Café Cortina!

Our planner recommended The Community House after I mentioned liking another place because it was, well, community centered! The Community House is a nonprofit that serves as a venue but also has programs for the community, such as the Early Childhood Center. Besides that, another appeal to us was how good the food sounded, and I am telling you, we were right. Everyone raved about the food! We had beef short rib, vegetarian pappardelle, and chicken confit. The latter was extra, but it was worth it and honestly one of the top selling points on the menu for us. I am so happy about this, because a lot of wedding food is…meh. The other pro for us was the layout. We really wanted a setup that encouraged people to dance, and this was perfect with the dance floor, stage, and tables surrounding it. This proved to be true, and if it didn't throughout the night, it was because people were tired or not into the songs! The only constructive feedback I have for TCH is on communication. It's OK if you don't respond ASAP, but when we are planning a wedding, and paying …a week is a little long. The communication did improve once we started talking to another employee, however, so maybe it just varies person to person. One request for TCH: if possible it would be great to have an electronic payment portal that does not charge fees. It was a little scary to send large sums of money using a check via USPS.
