The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

Built in 2015, The Barn at Timber Creek is a family-owned wedding venue located just 1 hour west of Richmond in Farmville, VA. Our venue offers four enchanting indoor and outdoor locations to choose from, giving you greater flexibility in planning your special day: the Barn with cathedral-style ceilings and crystal chandeliers, the covered Terrace for smaller weddings, the Lawn with sweeping, waterfront views, and our most popular location - The Pines! Brides and their bridal party can pamper themselves in our Bridal Cottage, located only a short walk away from The Barn. The Barn at Timber Creek offers various packages (including Coordination Services and On-Site Lodging) to best meet your needs on the day of your wedding.
