“I cannot recommend Amanda/Salt Ivy Photography enough. When choosing a photographer for our wedding and for our post-wedding mountaintop shoot (instead of an engagement photoshoot), we wanted a photographer who had a unique artistic vision who produced dynamic and emotional shots. We wanted photography that really stood out and was not the run of the mill wedding photography. Most of all, we wanted photography that captured the authentic emotional connection we have and the incredible energy of our big day. When I saw Amanda's work, I knew she was the one. Not only was her work absolutely STUNNING, but she was incredible to work with. We had to change our wedding date 3 total times due to Covid... and even moved it out of state halfway through... “We selected Daniel as our photographer after seeing some other photos from previous work he did. Daniel was very easy to communicate with and was very responsive. We ended up working much longer with Daniel over time as our wedding was delayed an entire year, with multiple dates over that time being options. We did feel Daniel was a bit of a salesman on top of being a photographer. There were a lot of recommendations that would have cost more money. Truthfully, after finally getting to our day, many of his suggestions would have been very good to have and made our end product even better. Daniel was prompt the day of the wedding and very easy to work with. We did a second photographer for a portion of the day and he was also very easy to work with, despite just meeting him that day. Our bridal party was very happy with both as well and complimented us on how good Daniel was. We ended up getting so many incredible pics of the day. Daniel invite me us to his studio to review everything and go through our options to our chase an album. Again, he was definitely pushing purchase options on us, but I can’t fault him for trying to maximize his sales. In the end, we did purchase an album and it really come out perfect. So, again, his recommendations were probably right for us. All in all, we were very happy with Daniel’s professionalism, prompt responses, communication skills, and most importantly is photography work. I would absolutely recommend Daniel to be the one to capture your special day.”

“We had our wedding reception at a brewery and wanted some easy to eat sweet and salty snacks. These popcorn flavors were delicious, they sent us flavors to try before we decided. “Kristy was the wedding vendor I didn’t know I needed, until I met her! My husband and I hired Kristy as our day of coordinator for our wedding last weekend and she was nothing short of amazing! Once our wedding was about 4 months out and we really started to get into the weeds of planning our big day, we realized that we needed a day of coordinator as we were doing a lot of DIY touches for the wedding and needed someone there to make sure our vision could actually come to life. Upon meeting Kristy, she immediately gave us a ton of ideas as to where to thrift on a tight budget and had so much information and helpful tips to offer. She also took over the vendor communication 3 months out which was a huge lift in the final planning stage! She was very effective in her coordination with all of our vendors and point of contacts so that on the day of the wedding we were really just enjoying the day both carefree and stress-free. Kristy offers a ton of helpful documents to review after your first session with her and she creates a custom timeline for you with the day scheduled to the minute. She was so organized and really kept us on track! Kristy also did an amazing job with the breakdown of the event especially since we brought in a lot of the decor in ourselves. She was flexible in making sure that all of our items got into one of our family member’s cars so it could be picked up whenever we had time the next day. This was a huge help so that guests at the wedding weren’t carrying flowers, vases, and signs home for us and instead headed directly to the after party. She even texted my parents the morning after with the details of where all of our items were stored and shared some great photos (and a reel with us) from the day! :) Kristy was also an advocate for us as clients, which went a really long way. We were having issues communicating well with one of our vendors, but Kristy stepped in and found a way to get a hold of the vendor and ensure our ask could be met. Without that push, our day would have looked a lot different than the vision we had hoped for- she really made our day come to life. After going through the wedding process, I truly think everyone needs a day of coordinator so if you have a slight inclination that someone is needed, think no further and contact Kristy! While weddings can get expensive as we all know, the best use of our money on our wedding day was spent on Kristy. Looking back on our day, we can’t thank her enough!!”
