I am a Tennessee-raised hillbilly who grew up raising chickens, hunting squirrels, building forts, and mowing lawns. After earning my Bachelor of Arts at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, MN, I have since moved home to Clarksville, TN. I have been an automotive technician for six years, a telecommunications technician for two, a barista for two, a Chick-fil-A employee for two, and a missionary in Africa for two (lots of 2's, I know). And now, I am a Realtor and Wedding Photographer.

I fell in love with photography at a young age, while rummaging through boxes of family photographs. My favorite pictures were always the ones that felt as though you had been transported in time- a little blurry, but a lot of emotion.

I started Megan Pontius Photography after I graduated Highschool in 2021. I didn't really get into couples photography until I got married in 2022. It wasn't until then that I really saw the different seasons in a relationship. Between the first date, to the 100th date, to getting engaged, stress of wedding planning, to the wedding day, and the days after that taking on life together. I grew to love photography as a kid. I got my first point and shoot camera at 12 years old, and I spent my time capturing images of hummingbirds. Once I had my daughter, I gained the courage to start doing photography as a business!
