I'm a California native with a wanderlusting soul. I grew up in the snowy mountains of Lake Tahoe and spent my teenage years in the rainforests of Costa Rica before returning to the West Coast of the United States to study the art of wedding photography and earn my BFA with Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. I went on to study at The San Francisco Art Institute and transferred to The Art Center, College of Design in Pasadena, earning a BFA in Photography. I began my career as a photographer in a Los Angeles product photo studio. While working there, I found I had a talent for photo retouching. I worked as a professional retoucher for many years and know what many celebrities really look like hah! I made my way back to freelance photography after having my daughter in 2013.
