Then, if you’re having your ceremony here (and most couples do), your family and friends will be ushered through Craftsman-styled double wooden doors to the serene South Patio. This beautiful, crescent-shaped flagstone space wraps around one entire side of the building and features a Zen-like border of Japanese maples, native plants and graceful oaks. Handcrafted ceramic urns are integrated throughout and serve as artful and calming water features. You can opt to exchange vows in front of those wooden entry doors, or take full advantage of the patio’s pièce de résistance and say “I do” beneath an asymmetrical canvas canopy. There’s ample room for al fresco cocktails on the patio before everyone moves into the Sequoia Room for dinner. Shoreline Boulevard. Fully restored in 1991, the Rengstorff House features: a Victorian Italianate design with a hip roof; a central gable crowned by a widow's walk; a front portico; and a symmetrical room layout. The gracious dining room and four lovely parlors downstairs, all decorated with classic period décor, open up to brick patios surrounded by manicured lawns, blooming flowers and natural areas. Nearby you will find the Shoreline Lake, Golf Links, and two, classic eateries to enjoy and explore.

The 1929 California Mission Revival style structure was built for the SJWC and designed by the notable architectural firm of Wolfe & Higgins. It includes many tiled features created by famed ceramicist Albert Solon. The Historic Venue provides in-kind donation of lowered cost rental of the SJWC to local community and arts groups for fund-raising events, performances and meetings. Rent the entire Historic Landmark Venue for your event, you and up to 350 guests have the use of the entire facility including the Landmark ballroom, tea room, kitchen and fireside room.
