The Edison Downtown is a brand new wedding and event venue in downtown Schenectady and established in 2021. The venue is exclusively catered and owned by Seasons Catering where they are excited to begin hosting events. This venue holds the history from when Thomas Edison came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and when he combined it into the Edison General Electric company in 1889. After - the building transformed into the Schenectady Gazette headquarters. In our renovations - we have kept the history and charm of the building with the original printing press from 1894 and our exposed brick interior.

Weddings can be incredibly stressful and sometimes not go as you planned, but I can guarantee The Edison Downtown staff will make your special day the best wedding or event you’ve ever had. Jena, our wedding coordinator and Bylinda, the owner, truly went above and beyond any of my expectations for my wedding day. The attention to care to not only myself but all family members and party members was impeccable. The organization and leadership day of from Jena highly attributes to the perfection and smoothness of our wedding. She was there late the night before and there bright and early the day of to make sure everything we wanted was done correctly and done timely. She made sure to keep to our schedule and even if there were any bumps in our timeline, she handed it for us. She paid incredible attention to detail to both our wedding and after party, as we had a completely different themed event also at the venue slightly after our wedding ended. I’m sure this made it more difficult than usual for the staff, but Jena handled the organization of all of our decor and organization of the staff and people involved like a seasoned professional. The food from Season’s Catering was divine and some of the best food we can recall having at a wedding or other event in a very, very long time. Our guests cannot stop talking about how absolutely delicious all of the food was, how gorgeous and unique the venue was, and how it was one of the best weddings they have attended. From the bartender to the servers, everyone was so sweet and seemed so excited to be working our wedding day. I didn’t know exactly what to expect planning my first wedding, but was so thankful for having Bylinda and having Jena from the venue to handle everything. Any event at The Edison Downtown is worth every penny. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the effort they put into our special day.

My husband & I are not huge fans of getting photos taken. We both are pretty awkward with PDA and were nervous about this for our big day. I felt a bit stressed since I didn’t have anything prepared in my mind for our photography either. As soon as Toni arrived on site, all my worries disappeared! I could just feel her kind energy radiating as soon as she came into the room. She found her way to the bridal suite and immediately started her magic. Our favorite part about Toni was how she fit in naturally. It never felt awkward or rushed, and she made sure we were enjoying every moment. Our entire family loved her and everyone kept saying how great she did. She really prioritized family photos and helped make sure we got everyone in them. Definitely recommend booking Toni for your day. She really is the best and I’m so happy that I found a photographer that I will use for any big life event moving forward!!!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!

We first heard about the Wire Event Center through a photographer on Facebook while the venue/hotel was still under construction. We fell in love at first site and are glad we went with it! The views are amazing, and with James Newbury attached, the location is highly convenient. The venue itself easily checked all our boxes while looking for the perfect location for a wedding. Isolated, but not far from an airport, scenic for spectacular wedding photos, accessible for those requiring wheelchairs, and walkable distances to other restaurants for rehearsal dinners, welcome drinks, and after parties. Inside the venue itself easily accommodated 100 guests, dance floor, DJ setup, photo booth, and more. We did cocktail hour in the Atrium which offers an awe inspiring view on a beautiful day with areas both inside and outside. The real star behind the venue was the assistance from Holly Harman. Leading up to the event, Holly was able to help organize, set up, and answer a multitude of questions both regarding venue or reaching out to vendors. Holly was an amazing contact before, during, and after the wedding to the point that we begged her (after work hours) to join us at our after party. Throughout the wedding day, she was able to help coordinate transitions between events, assist with last second adjustments, and even take care of our rambunctious pupper, Asher. It was originally supposed to rain on our wedding day, however she took care of that, too :) The communication was exceptional, and we could not have asked for someone better to work with. I will admit, we had a rowdy bunch at times requiring some firm language to move from reception after party after-after party (shout out to Ravish Liquors), but for our family, that's what is needed. If we could go back, we would choose this location again and again, 100%! Thank you tremendously to Holly and the rest of the Wire Event Center staff for the best day of our lives!

This was my first and only venue I toured and I fell in love. We were looking for something very modern and our style and this was exactly that! I was so in love with the large floor to ceiling windows and at night it was absolutely stunning! The outside patio with the fire pits were such a beautiful touch and everyone was loving them all night! The food & drinks were delicious and I have to mention how amazing the staff was to us.. truly wouldn’t have gotten through the night without them! Highly recommend!!

From the moment we pulled up to Timber Lake Camp and saw the mountain views we knew we wanted our wedding there. The views and grounds are absolutely beautiful. We knew we wanted to be able to have time to spend with all of our family and friends and TLC allowed us to do just that. Meredith was AMAZING throughout the entire planning process, always answering our emails in a timely fashion and willing to schedule a call for us. She helped us coordinate visits to the camp before our big day so we could plan accordingly. We were able to arrive (with family) on Thursday to start setting up everything for the weekend, which was great because it allowed us to have some time on Friday to relax before all our guests started to arrive. One of the great things about TLC is you can make the wedding into anything you would like it to be, granted it takes a lot of extra work, planning, and coordination, but I would not have changed a thing. Our guests have not stopped raving about how thoughtful all of the details we put into the wedding were and how much the venue represented us a people and a couple. The TLC staff were absolutely incredible the weekend of our wedding. From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted at the front gate, given directions on parking, and then provided transportation via golf cart to their cabins. Everyone had such a great time at the camp. Reggie and Sheila (and other staff) made us DELICIOUS meals throughout the weekend that everyone enjoyed! Scott was amazing in helping coordinate all of the events for the weekend and making sure everything ran smoothly. Special shout out to Willow for his support and assistance with everything and anything that came up during the weekend! At all points there were golf carts around to transport our guests anywhere they needed to go, whether it was to the bonfire Friday and Saturday nights, the golf course, the kickball game Saturday morning, to/from ceremony, or just getting around the camp, someone was there to help. We chose to open the waterfront for Saturday (an extra fee), but was so worth it. Our guests had the best time going down the water slide, kayaking, and using the pool before the wedding. We cannot recommend TLC for your wedding weekend enough!

I don't think I can write a review to do both M&D Farm as a venue and Mario & Daniel as individuals justice, but I will certainly try. We had our wedding at M&D Farm this summer and still are in awe of every moment of that day. M&D Farm is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The gardens are awe-inspiring - all of our guests could not believe how incredibly beautiful the venue was. The natural look and feel, combined with the hard work that Mario and Daniel put into this place makes every moment you spend at it an absolute dream. Honestly, I don't think we've seen anything like it while touring venues. It's an absolutely magical place. But what's more magical than the garden and property itself? Mario and Daniel. I mean....wow. Mario and Daniel guided us through the wedding process with ease, calmness, and huge support. But what was even more impressive was their day of coordination. As a bride, I literally did not have to think about anything but having the best time all day long. Mario and Daniel were accomodating, efficient, fun to be around, knew all the staff, kept us on time without feeling like there was a lot of pressure, and made the whole experience just so easy. We were in absolute awe the entire time. We cannot be more thankful to both of them for the best day we could have possibly asked for. Excellent news: your search for a wedding planner and coordinator is over. Hire Venture North Events! They are the best! Kim and CJ are the perfect mix of detail-oriented, thoughtful, creative, and cool under pressure. We hired them for full planning for our wedding weekend at Eastwind Hotel in Windham in June 2023. We started working with them a year before, and they were deeply engaged the entire time. Our wedding was a full weekend (3 days and three events), with lots of different moving parts and activities. Everything was outdoors. We had to bring in and set up a lot of stuff. Not only were they exceptional at knowing and implementing logistics (sound, lighting, rentals, decor, rain plans), they always made sure that the events reflected our personal vision and intentions. The planning process itself was made immensely fun working with them. Because of their expertise, we were able to focus on the creative stuff. We crafted what we hoped the weekend would look like together, planning over calls and the super organized planning spreadsheets Kim and CJ have created. Their systems kept us on track, and we (and our guests!) appreciated how well organized and executed everything was! On Saturday, we had lots of intermittent rain during outdoor events. Kim and CJ kept all our guests dry and happy, shifting schedules and logistics as needed. We were involved in these decisions but also trusted them completely, so were able to be fully present in the day with our guests. Kim’s timelines the day of the wedding ran impeccably; nothing felt rushed and she brought on top notch folks to work the wedding as day of staff. She has a deep knowledge of and relationships with various vendors in upstate New York, everyone was truly excellent. On top of it all, Kim and CJ were truly a joy to work with. Now a month out from the wedding, we are so grateful for how it all went! We miss them terribly! In sum, VNE gets our highest possible recommendation. Do yourself a favor and hire them, ASAP!

The Hall of Springs was an incredible venue for our wedding day. From the ease of communication with their team, to their diligent and effective coordination, they were truly accommodating and amazing to work with. The quality of their work and the value they provided was incredible - the space was grand, beautiful, and classy. The staff we worked with directly, Olivia, Alex and Natalie, were out of this world and we loved them dearly. They were so easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding, reaching out when needed and being so responsive to all of our questions. We could not have asked for a better venue and team to make our special day perfect.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Excelsior Springs Event Center, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! First and foremost, the food was absolutely amazing – all of our guests raved about it. The spacious and beautifully designed venue was spotless, and the layout provided the perfect setting for a seamless celebration. We chose to have our ceremony at Congress Park, but for couples looking to hold both their ceremony and reception in one location, Excelsior Springs offers a beautiful ceremony area as well. It’s a lovely option that makes it easy to keep everything in one place. Marianna, our wedding planner, was a standout. She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and helpful throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. We truly felt like we were in great hands with her guidance. One of the major perks was the venue’s connection to the Courtyard Marriott, which is only a 30-second walk away. This made it so easy for our guests to stay right next to the event, adding such a level of convenience. We also rented a room at the Marriott for our rehearsal dinner, and they allowed us to bring in our own food and soft drinks, which made it feel even more personal and special. One of the aspects we loved most was the flexibility to add our own personal touches. We were able to bring in custom signage, homemade centerpieces, set up a fun candy bar, and even add a mirror welcome sign selfie station. Our DJ also provided a photo booth, which our guests loved. These touches made the celebration feel uniquely ours and added to the fun atmosphere. Overall, Excelsior Springs Event Center and the Courtyard Marriott created a perfect combination for a memorable and stress-free wedding weekend.
