We are an open concept venue, and we encourage couples to make our venue their own. Our package grants full access to the event space (the barn and surrounding lawn areas) to clients, vendors, and guests. Each wedding booked will come with the use of the venue and property for approximately two days, and is great for couples who want sufficient time for proper set-up and tear-down before and after their event. Take time to enjoy these special moments with your loved ones! Facility use hours are from 12 PM-4 PM the day before the wedding, and from 10 AM-11 PM the day of your event. Set-up is welcome and suggested the day prior to the event. Use of our rustic farm-style wood tables and wood benches for up to 120 people will also be included in your package if desired.

We found Star M Barn about two years ago and were immediately captivated with the stunning view of the Bridger Mountains. We also loved how much history had been preserved and the care that the Mellows family had put into restoring this piece of Montana. Working with Jess and her family has been incredible! They are such kind and hard-working people, who love what they do. They helped us make sure that the entire weekend was special for our friends and family. The land and the barn are spacious enough for all the guests and it also feels intimate in the way they have designed all parts of the property. For many of our guests, this was their first time in Montana, and Star M DELIVERED on a beautiful and authentic experience. We wish we could have spent more time here! Thank you!

My husband and I took our first vacation to Whitefish and absolutely fell in love with Montana on that trip. When we got engaged and started planning our wedding we had family & friends flying from all over that we thought we'd do it there to show them the beautiful state. We came out to visit venues in Whitefish & Bozeman and found a couple that we liked but nothing that we LOVED. I stumbled across The Woodlands when we were back home, we did a virtual tour with Elsa and immediately booked it sight unseen until the week of the wedding. When we finally saw it in person we were stunned at how much more beautiful it was in person. The drive in from downtown is absolutely gorgeous, you pull up to the venue and you're surrounded by trees. The Greatroom where we had our reception was meticulously maintained and updated, the dressing rooms were adorable and so spacious for all of the bridal party, everything just really made sense. Elsa & Jaslin were great to work with, I think Meaghan was our day of manager who was amazing and easy to work with. Everything just flowed so well. Great vendors really make a great wedding and you will not go wrong booking the Woodlands, and take it from us you can even do it sight unseen and be stoked. All of our guests voted our wedding one of the best, with a venue that was unlike any other they've been to. Thank you for everything!
