Woodland Floral Design Co.

5.0

  • Florist
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

We had a blast working with Misha. Her florals that she executed were phenomenal and even beyond our own expectations. She is very down to earth and was the easiest and my favorite vendor to work with. Echoing what others have mentioned, her signature look is lush, full florals and I feel that her florals are exceptionally full compared to other florists we had initially looked at. If you want florals to be the centerpiece of your event, Misha is your florist! She was always accessible, dependable and great to bounce ideas off of. We provided a color palette to her and the overall vibes and trusted in her creativity and it turned out amazing. It was a very non-stressful experience leaving the florals up to her. We would highly recommend her without any hesitations. A dependable, responsive, artistic vendor but most importantly, a kind, genuine and warm individual!

Hi, I'm Kelsey! I'm blessed with a loving husband, 3 kitties whom I adore and a plethora of interests. I love hiking with my husband, martial arts, playing music and singing, I'm crazy about animals, I'm absolutely fascinated by linguistics and other cultures. Also, & to my hubby, I'm rather nerdy (you'll see me rolling around in my limited edition Iron Man Hyundai, haha), so if you're into Star Wars, superheroes, etc., I'm sure we will get along just fine ;). What did I say about a plethora of interests? I've been doing photography passionately for at least 14 years. Any talent I have is God given and I do this all to bring fame to His name!

Me and my husband used Kelsey for our engagement session and wedding photos. She is absolutely amazing! She was so easy to work with and made me and my husband feel comfortable. She captured some amazing moments of our wedding and kept us in the loop the entire time. I can’t thank Kelsey enough! You won’t regret working with her! Erica was awesome to work with. I was a little nervous about my wedding makeup since I do not normally wear a lot of makeup daily. Erica completely crushed my makeup trial and my wedding makeup. I wanted some glam for my wedding, but also wanted to look myself. Erica gave me a great natural and glam look. I loved the airbrush makeup as it was light and felt like I wasn’t even wearing makeup. I got a lot of compliments on my makeup. Also, everyone loved their look on the wedding day. It held up great throughout the night. Her touchup bag was so cute that she gave me to reapply later in the night. I absolutely loved working with Erica. She was kind, quick to respond, helped put a timeline together for the wedding day, and cares about her clients. I recommend Erica for your wedding makeup needs.

There are not enough good things I can say about this venue and the amazing staff who work there! Dawn was incredible from the beginning of our booking until the day of the wedding, which ended up being unexpectedly delayed by 2 years due to covid. Fiddlestix Florals and Wedding Coord

4.8

  • Florist
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

Awarded Best of Zola
Tiara at Fiddlestix was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Her communication was easy, fast, and personable throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the florals they created were detailed, perfect, and absolutely beautiful. I gave her an inspo pic and she recreated it even more perfectly. On the day of the wedding, Tiara's day-of coordinating made everything run so smoothly, and I was completely stress-free knowing she was taking care of all the little details and I trusted her whole heartedly and she exceeded my expectations. Tiara was so fun and personable to work with throughout the year and a half of wedding planning. I would highly recommend Fiddlestix to any couple planning their wedding!

We chose Upohar to cater food for our Sangeet, and everything went so well! We worked with Stephanie, Erica, and Sri. They made every step of the process - from the initial consultation, to the tastings, to the many follow-ups, to the actual event - so easy. They were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. The venue that we held our event at doesn't allow outside catering, but they made an exception for us. Upohar was great with working with our venue directly to figure out the best plan for execution. They were very detail oriented and made sure everything was accounted for. The food was DELICIOUS. We are so happy with the menu we decided on. The staff at the event was super professional and did a great job with serving people, answering questions, and turning over for each course. Everything went perfectly, and we were truly stress free knowing Upohar was handling all of our food. We would highly recommend!

Sarah Brookhart Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

I’m Sarah, wedding + elopement photographer documenting true and heartfelt moments wherever your little heart desires. My husband, Ryan is my adventure-loving second photographer and ordained officiant (yep, he’ll marry you!). We are city-dwelling nature lovers who strongly believe in having a good time. We call Pennsylvania home but travel all over to photograph couples in love. When not behind the camera or working on the computer, we enjoy cocktails, coffee, cats, and hiking with our toddler, Brooklyn.

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah is so fun to work with, she is quick, offers great direction, and makes sure you get the photos you want AND gets you back to the party. The BIGGEST flex though is the fact that I got married on May 25 and I had sneak preview pictures sent to me by May 28 and the first batch available in an online gallery on June 4! The photos are beautiful, she really captured the drama of our venue and the vibrant colors we chose for flowers and decor!

Pam's Petals

5.0

  • Florist
  • Serves Dry Run, PA

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

Awarded Best of Zola
One of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding was booking Pam to do our flowers. From the beginning she knew exactly what my vision was, and she checked in to share fun updates on her process as our day got closer, which I loved! She was flexible and transparent with creating designs within our budget. Our wedding day was in the middle of a heatwave and Pam created an incredible ceremony arch piece that looked amazing even after sitting in the beating sun for hours! She had a few tips for last minute tweaks to ensure her designs held up to the heat, and I was grateful for that. All of our flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, table pieces) were just above and beyond gorgeous. Some of my favorite pieces were my flower girls’ flower crowns- we got so many compliments on how cute they were! There were so many little thoughtful details that Pam took care of: sending a bag of petals for my flower girls and a little towel to dry off all the bouquets. We did not have to worry about a single thing. My flowers were one of my favorite things about my wedding day- book Pam and yours will be too!

Preparing and serving slow smoked, expertly prepared Texas barbecue and rustic Italian inspired dishes is the greatest joy in my life. There are no short cuts in barbecue and that's what I love about it. We started Luongo Barbecue to glorify the Lord and grow the Kingdom of God. We use the business as a means to feed and serve the less fortunate in our community. It all started when of my cousins asked if I would film their wedding. Although it was not easy and I definitely had a lot to learn, I accepted. Years and thousands of hours of video later I am pursuing my dream. Hello, my name is Zachary Sowers and I would love the opportunity to work with you on capturing your project. I love filming weddings, and including my couples in the editing process. I am happy to announce we shoot LGBTQ+ weddings and spaces, and hope to be joining you very soon to capture your wedding day. My beautiful wife and I have been married since 2021 and look forward to inviting baby Athena into the world in January 2023!

Awarded Best of Zola
I truly don’t think there’s enough good things to say about Zach. His patience and kind heart made my husband and I more than comfortable on our wedding day. We’ve never really been on video before so we were nervous about having a videographer at first. From the moment I shook Zach’s hand and met him we knew we made the best choice. It rained our entire wedding day and if you watched our video and hadn’t known that you would’ve never known. The shots he got despite the weather leave us so grateful. Just when we thought we couldn’t appreciate him more, we got our videos back. Every person I’ve showed our footage to are floored. They all say “it looks like a movie”. He captured our love so perfectly. Our photographer unfortunately did not get any shots of our memorial table. We were heartbroken until we realized Zach got plenty of footage of our memorial table for us. That in itself is worth 5 stars. The phenomenal videos is just even more reason. He even went back and edited our film after I wanted to make changes and had the new video back to us in 24 hours. His organization and talent deserves recognition and any bride still needing a videographer shouldn’t hesitate to book Zach Sowers. Zach, Austin and I can’t thank you enough for everything.

We are so grateful to the entire team at Melhorn Manor for making our wedding day happen!! It's hard to even know where to begin - from start to finish, every detail of the day was magical thanks to the team's hard work and expertise. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. We couldn't agree more that Melhorn Manor was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we have the incredible team to thank for all the hard work, attention to detail, and love that went into making this the wedding of our dreams. We, and our families and loved ones, will truly cherish the memory of this day for a lifetime. We are so grateful to have had the absolute joy of working with Allory, Jess, and the entire Melhorn Manor team. They were enthusiastic, thoughtful, kind, and so organized at every step of the way. We can't imagine what our special day would have looked like anywhere other than Melhorn Manor - what an amazing place that will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We simply can't thank the entire staff enough!!

Hi, I’m Lauren, the owner of Lauren Katherine Creative, and I’m passionate about capturing the magic of weddings. I’ve always been drawn to photography, ever since childhood, when I fell in love with the art of storytelling through images. Now, I get to do what I love most—helping couples turn their vision into lasting memories. My goal is to make everyone feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, so I can capture those authentic, meaningful moments. With a background in film, I bring a creative, cinematic touch to every shot, making sure your wedding photos reflect the beauty and emotion of your special day.

We are so so so happy that we booked Lauren for our wedding day. She and Julianna (second shooter) were so incredible. They made us feel so comfortable and did a great job at keeping everyone on track. We just got our sneak peek back and they are so much better than we even imagined. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Lauren as our photographer.

We were a little late in finding a venue for our wedding but so happy we found a late fall opening with Strock Enterprises on their beautiful farm in Mechanicsburg. Kurt Strock and his team made the process super easy and walked us through all of our questions. Their option for having us provide some of our table top decorations while using some of their decorations helped the budget along. The food was amazing and Kurt's Dad (original Farm owner/operator) is superb at his barbeques - we had a full pig roast and barbeque steak). Would highly recommend.

We at 3 West Productions embrace happiness and love, and want to help make your wedding day your favorite memory. As musicians and professionals who have worked in the entertainment and wedding industry for many years, we understand and value the essential combination of elements to ensure the perfect experience. Owned and operated by us, Matt and Nissa of 3 WEST, we truly are “married to the music.”

Absolutely incredible experience with our wedding DJ, Jeff! He truly went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable. From the moment the music started, the dance floor was packed, and it stayed that way all night. He had an amazing ability to read the room and kept the energy high with a perfect mix of hits that everyone loved. What really set him apart, though, was his preparedness. When the venue’s power failed not once but THREE times, he seamlessly switched to his backup battery to keep the music going without missing a beat. He single-handedly saved the night, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re looking for a DJ who is talented, professional, and prepared for anything, this is your guy! Highly recommend!

To keep you as stress-free as possible, we offer day-of coordination, design service, and/or planning assistance. Taylored Events also has an extensive collection of unique rentals to offer couples - lounge/furniture, decor, centerpieces, signage, and more!

We hired Taylor as a Day Of Coordinator and she was incredibly easy to work with and great at what she does. As a control freak, letting go of all the little details on the day of was so hard to do, but I put our trust in her and she did not disappoint! We had an initial call when I was inquiring (over a year ahead of the wedding), then we had a venue walkthrough close to the wedding date where she took notes and asked questions, had a final call just before to go over any final details, and took my decor photos/notes to ease my mind on how I wanted things to look. The day of, she handled everything and didn’t need me for a thing - coordinated the vendors, set up the decor, and was our main point of contact for everything, broke down everything at the end. We also rented a few items from her that had to be hauled down to the venue. Everything was perfect. I cried when I saw my vision come to life. If you’re on the fence about hiring a Day Of Coordinator, do it! Hire Taylor. She’ll take those tasks off your plate so you can actually enjoy your day. Bonus points because she had to go up and down 70 or so stairs to get to the venue each time! Thank you so much! We are so grateful for your hard work.

WOW!! That's what first comes to mind when we think about what it was like to work with Kylee. Also, we should note here that this review is going to be long because we love her and loved working with her so much. When we were exploring photographers, it was really important to us that not only was it important to have beautiful photos, but also that we'd be able to work with someone who we'd want to hang out with and even someone we'd be happy to invite to our wedding. Before even meeting with Kylee, we loved how clear it was (via her website) that she has a killer personality, and also that she puts her couples' personalities in the spotlight. When we had our initial consult with her, the first half was really just chatting about little nuggets we'd put in the inquiry questionnare - aka, learning we shared a massive love of board games with Kylee, and also that we 100% want to be friends with her in the real world. Her follow up email wasn't even just a "hey, will you be booking me?" - in fact, it had nothing to do with that, but rather her asking for board game suggestions for an upcoming trip. Beyond shared interests, Kylee made us feel super informed about her process, and we got some really great wedding planning tips from her. We also wanted to make sure we worked with people who we felt comfortable asking questions to, as people who tend to feel a little worried about potential confrontation. When we had a question about how some of our wedding color choices might resonate in Kylee's aesthetic, she was not only extremely compassionate in her answer, but also was SUPER informative in a way that was fully digestible by non-photography experts. It was actually this specific exchange that made us book her. Kylee is probably one of the most unique vendors we partnered with because she truly builds a community - she hosted an open house to connect couples both past and present, and is open about how much of a human she is in a way that really resonates. Kylee is game for everything. We love to bike ride and wanted to include our bikes in our engagement shoot, and Kylee was immediately game for it. When we told her we have a signature pose that is...not romatic, Kylee was totally game. In fact, she remembered this on the wedding day and incorporated it into our shotlist at various points without us having talked about it. But let's talk about the wedding day. Kylee and her second photography (Tiffany!!!) had to travel a number of hours for our wedding, which we're sure was not fun, and if that was the case, Kylee didn't let it show at all. She was really such a joy to be around. She commanded peoples' attention when she needed to, and also easily blended herself in to fully capture candids easily. We got so many compliments from our family and wedding party about how awesome Kylee was. Something we really loved when we'd first met with Kylee was learning that her favorite part of a wedding is the dancing (because that's our part too), and we took some specific joy in getting to break it down with her at our wedding. Kylee's photography is second-to-none and insanely beautiful, but really she's one of the greatest people we've met throughout the wedding journey. She's professional, she's thorough, she's really freaking fun, and we're so lucky we got to spend an entire day with her. You really won't regret with working with her!!

The Manor at Mountain View

Harrisburg, PA
  • Venue
  • Up to 325 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,400

The Manor at Mountain View was the perfect find for the owners. The rustic feel with modern-day conveniences was a must. But, what was also a must was to have a venue that the word beautiful could not even describe it but, yet to keep it affordable so that so many people could come and enjoy this spectacular piece of property. The Tavern (Groom's Tavern) has its original barn beams as this was at one time a bank barn. The rustic charm matches the rod iron chandeliers in the room leading to the tavern. In 2007 the former owners built an addition to the facility that speaks volumes, equipped with windows throughout to show off the amazing view... It really is breathtaking. Today the owners have renovated all the rooms in the building but, kept the rustic charm. It brings the family great joy to see so many people happy when they visit the property and to be able to share so many events with the individuals that rent the property is a joy that is indescribable.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Provides event staff
  • Accommodates more than 200 guests

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No free parking
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
I couldn't have picked a better place to get married. Everyone told me to expect at least one thing to go wrong on my wedding day. The only bad thing that happened was that it rained! (Obviously uncontrollable) however, the coordinators still made it perfect. The inside was set up perfectly. I only truly wanted our pictures outside. They literally followed me around with umbrellas and followed my bridesmaids around with hair dryers to dry our dresses and keep us looking our best all while they were getting wet! I received SO many compliments on my wedding. Multiple people during the days after said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended!

Where to even begin. WITWs made our dream wedding a reality. The venue space is beautiful and just gets better as the sun goes down. During the wedding planning process we had a specific vision in mind of how we wanted our big day to look like and WITWs checked every box. Aaron & Andrea were a blessing to work with. Always there to answer questions leading up to the big day. Lisa the host coordinator was great as well. She assisted us with pulling decorations from the decoration shed and making sure all the chairs, tables & arbor were decorated just the way we envisioned. She even chased away some bees (lol) WITWs is always improving the grounds. Since we booked two years ago they have built a speakeasy for the guys to get ready in and upgraded the landscaping with accent lighting and a fountain. They also have extras you can add on to your day. We opted to rent the old truck for our bridal party. You can also rent the chapel. They also have multiple ceremony spaces on the grounds. We were married by the water feature down by the pond. If you are looking for a venue with upscale rustic beauty look no further. WITWs is your venue!!!!

I had the pleasure of having Emily as my makeup artist for my April 2024 wedding. Emily was so easy to work with. Her communication was timely and responsive. She was very helpful in providing me exactly what I wanted for my wedding. Emily started by having me complete a makeup trial. I LOVED my trial makeup and Emily was so responsive to everything I asked. Emily then created a completely personalized hair and makeup timeline for wedding day that was super easy and required very little work from me to create. On the day of the wedding she brought a team of 2 ladies with her to get all 6 of my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and 2 flower girls hair and makeup done. Emily was on time, professional, and a lot of fun to work with. She was flexible and provided such a relaxing and easy going feel for the day. I was so appreciative of how easy going it was because wedding day can be so stressful and hectic. Emily and her team were able to get us done on time and we all loved our hair and makeup. Everyone looked and felt beautiful! I would highly recommend Emily for all hair and makeup services for wedding day!!

I worked a wedding where Alisia was the photographer and I was the videographer. I admired her professionalism and she was amazing to work with. We coordinated together as the day went on so that we could each do our jobs to the best of our abilities and could both capture the day without getting in each others way. Her style or directing and working with others is great and her work speaks for itself. I hope to work with her again and now recommend her to others.
