I don't know how she did it - but she really incorporated everything I asked and hoped for. I'm so grateful for that. The way that she brought in color and the tropical fruit in the middle of WINTER to speak to our Brazilian and Mexican heritages is what brought it over the top for me. Our guests were blown away! So many things go wrong during a wedding (and went wrong for us) and there were many disappointments for me. There were also many places I wish I would have been able to make more special / meaningful to our cultures, backgrounds and personal lives but weren't able to because of cost. Additionally, my entire Brazilian family weren't able to be there because of the high cost and challenge of flying here from the south of Brazil. So, to have this cake, we were able to bring more meaning and personal detail to our day, and it really means the world to me for so many reasons. Especially because the cake was paid for by my grandmother in Brazil, from whom I'm sure I got my obsession with cakes, and had a say in the design! To say thank you is not enough.
