In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

In 1900, Frank D. Stout inherited part of his father’s lumber fortune, moved to Chicago, and within a few years was one of the wealthiest men in the country. Stout's was built in 1903 by Frank D. Stout as a summer retreat for his family and modeled after the famous Adirondack camps. Over the past 25 years, new cabins have been erected and we now have a total of 43 guest rooms on the Island. Bloom Lake Barn is a freshly renovated wedding and event venue located in Shafer, Minnesota near the gorgeous St. Croix River. Set in the picturesque St. Croix valley, Bloom Lake Barn provides that "out of the way" country charm a short 40-mile drive from the Twin Cities. The wooden barn is enormous and contains vaulted ceilings and gorgeous chandelier and cafe lighting. The lower level of the barn is another unique space containing rustic beams and high-top tables built from original stanchions. The courtyard includes a Pavillion, bonfire pit, lawn games, and a walking trail through the woods

For centuries, the beauty and natural treasures of the St. Croix Valley have drawn people to the area which is now Stillwater. The first to call this area home were the Sioux and Chippewa Nations. Later, the first traders and trappers in Minnesota Territory settled here. By the mid 1880’s, railroading and river activity helped build the community into a bustling town of 13,000 people. Stillwater became the trade center for miners and trappers to the North, and farmers and lumbermen to the West. The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad eventually saw a need for a freight depot. In 1979, the historical significance of the building was recognized and the Freight House became the first building in Stillwater to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Built in 1895, this building was renovated in 2013 to become Loft 214, one of the most unique, rustic and charming venues in Minnesota. Loft 214 boasts 4,000 sq feet of event space! Loft 214 is located in the heart of beautiful downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. Prior to the renovation in 2013 the historic building was used as housing accommodations for lumberjacks in the logging industry. The building is bursting with character and history yet it still represents the current amenities of the present. Clients have complete control over every detail of their event at Loft 214. The venue is versatile and functional with multiple spaces available including two VIP rooms. ​Built in 1905, the Connolly Shoe Factory was renovated in 2016 to become JX Venue, one of the largest event venues in Minnesota. JX Venue boasts 14,000 sq. feet of event space and has a capacity of up to 720 guests. The venue is perfect for large weddings, small celebrations and everything in between. Purposely ambiguous, the name “JX” is defined by the first class events that are hosted within the exposed brick walls. The Grand Banquet Hall is located just a couple blocks from the St. Croix River in historic downtown Stillwater, MN! Originally a part of the logging days that Stillwater was established for. Our ballroom features beautiful stained glass décor, space for up to 350 guests, a generous dance floor and a long stunning antique bar.

Oak Glen is a private and public golf course with a gorgeous wedding and event venue, located just 5 minutes from downtown Stillwater. Our packages include your ceremony and reception, on-site catering, tables, chiavari chairs, linens, flatware, charger plates, votives, and all day access to our getting ready suites! Oak Glen has two outdoor and one indoor ceremony locations as well as one beautiful reception space. The Willows ceremony site is located just off the first hole and features willow trees framing our beautiful fountain in the pond. The Prairie ceremony site is located closer to the clubhouse, making it more convenient for your guests to get to. All ceremonies include worry-free setup and tear down with white folding chairs, a hexagon shaped arch- that you can decorate, as well as back-up indoor ceremony site (depending on guest count.)

Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2024 marks our sixth season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building is currently undergoing major renovation and will be completed by April of 2024. The climate controlled space will feature spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.
