King of Pops started with a couple thousand bucks, a used ice cream pushcart, and a whole lot of luck. Our success is due to amazing community support (which we’ve received since day one). We do our best to respond to that support with love, gratitude, and some laughs. We hope to serve you soon!

It all started in 2015 when our founder, Joe Nedza, waited in line in New York City for something similar to a Nedza's Waffle for over 2 hours. He finally got to the front and the store had just sold out. However, Joe left with an idea. Why couldn't we bring waffles here to the Classic City and put our own spin on things? So, with an idea and a drive to succeed, Joe built the company from the ground up. He set out not only to create a delicious waffle dessert, but to create a better business built around warmth, love, and kindness. This Little Light Bakery and Caribbean Delights was founded by Suerence Marcelle in 2019. Suerence is a self-taught pastry chef who started baking as a hobby making candy apples and chocolate treats. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Suerence expanded her baking talents to display her Caribbean roots in some of her delicacies such as black cake and Caribbean pastries. A year later Suerence expanded from treats to making pastries and designing wedding cakes. Seeing how people reacted to her flavors and work of art she knew she took the right step in her business. She prides herself in the artwork of her desserts and gourmet layered donuts.
