Windows on the water @ frogbrdge

3.7

Millstone Twp, NJ
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

There is just something special about celebrating your wedding or special occasion lakeside, amidst 86-manicured acres of natural landscape. Windows on the Water is a private resort set in the midst of horse country in Millstone Township, Monmouth County. Beyond the natural landscape, we offer an impressive array of contemporary cuisine selections and polished service staff ― all carefully managed by our senior wedding planners. We guide you through every aspect of planning ─ from creating spectacular menus to seating recommendations and floral arrangement placement. We are with you every step of the way to ensure the success of your wedding or special event from beginning to end and beyond. Windows on the Water at Frogbridge recently received a complete top-to-bottom interior and exterior redesign and renovation, including a separate his and hers bridal suite.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge last month (May of 2024) and the team went above and beyond at the wedding. We wanted somewhere with natural beauty rather than somewhere over the top(with both indoor and outdoor spaces), lots of trees for shade, and great service and food. In August 2023, I met with Jim with my future sister in law whose kids go to the summer camp (a very fancy one lol) who gave me a tour of the Frogbridge grounds and I immediately fell in love and knew that it was the place for us. When I reached out a few days later to discuss dates and tour with my husband, they told me the space would be ours for the entire day which is so unlike many venues that have multiple weddings in one day. Also, all pricing is visible online so there were no surprises there. Another thing that made this choice more affordable was we were able to work with a local vendor for alcohol. The vendor returned all unopened cans/bottles after our wedding so we were only charged for what was used. In the winter we did a tasting which we could bring 4 more guests to. This was the only thing we were hesitant about because we booked before tasting the food. The experience was super easy and fun- we were able to taste most of the menu offerings and make our selections with our friends. We’re so happy we took a chance because the food, especially the day of the wedding, was amazing! On our wedding day, WOTW Coordinator, Colleen, made everything so easy- from making sure staff was at our beck and call (my wedding party and immediate family were seriously blown away), making sure our decor was perfect, and organizing on the fly when it was officially raining for the whole day (we weren’t even disappointed when Colleen reassured us and proved to us that everything would be perfect). She was awesome and we loved working with her! not only did the staff cater to us, the bride and groom - but they really made everyone in our wedding party, our families, and friends feel like they were receiving the best service. Our friends and family raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was. They loved sitting in the tent looking at the beautiful lake. We highly recommend this venue!

Bishop Farmstead

5.0

Southampton, NJ
  • Up to 175 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $14,500

Constructed in 1932, this vintage barn oversees 12+ acres of native grasslands – a rich habitat for wildflowers, birds and butterflies – and a historic farmhouse built in the 1750s by a second-generation Quaker farmer. The property is also home to Pinelands Preservation Alliance, whose mission is to protect the natural resources, history and culture of this unique region. In 2017, the Alliance transformed the barn into a great gathering place. The recently completed renovation brings contemporary comfort and energy efficiency to a setting that still retains its authentic character. For weddings and private celebrations, the “big red barn” opens onto beautiful outdoor spaces for garden ceremonies and cocktails, while the interior is scaled for dinner and dancing for as many as 175 guests.

Awarded Best of Zola
Bishop Farmstead is THE perfect venue for any couple who is looking for a cozy and rustic feel for their celebration! This was our first and only venue that my fiancé and I toured and we instantly fell in love with the beautiful and well-kept grounds and barn; we knew that there was no other place that could compare. Bishop Farmstead perfectly fit our vision for a rustic, yet still elegant and classy wedding reception space. Compared to many other NJ venues, especially for the September-October months, the venue was very reasonably priced. The decor/style that the venue provides is naturally gorgeous, especially the candle package. Definitely recommend Bishop Farmstead if you are looking for a laid-back and timeless wedding/reception.

Welcome to La Luna Banquet Hall, an award-winning Elegant/Rustic facility located in Lower Bucks County, PA, and a perfect venue for the wedding of your dreams. Upon arrival, enter through the picturesque patio with intricate wrought-iron arches and a classic marble fountain framed by a pergola - a perfect setting for an outdoor summer wedding ceremony or for an alfresco cocktail hour. Another separate and more private "secret garden" area is available for ceremonies. Once inside, the enchantment continues as you and your guests stroll past a cozy courtyard with a lion's head fountain and into the elegantly appointed ballroom. The same style can be found in the chic VIP bridal party room with a private entrance. We are here to help you plan your dream wedding!

From the first time we toured La Luna, Mark, Karen, and their staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and personable. They were patient and sweet with our parents, grandparents, and other family members, and asked thoughtful questions to make sure we were all on the same page about the vision for our wedding. They were able to accommodate our bicultural family with a bilingual DJ and menu items that were not listed on their menu, and everything at our reception was laid out with care and attention to detail. Our wedding party also stayed at the manor house for our entire wedding weekend, which was so much fun and so perfect!! We would absolutely recommend La Luna to anyone looking for an amazing place to host their special event, that is also reasonably priced and includes so much in their packages. Mark and Karen, we are also honored to share our wedding anniversary with you- thank you for working our wedding on your anniversary! :)

Our Palmer Square boutique hotel has been the standard bearer for memorable celebrations since 1937, with generations of Princeton area families allowing us to share their special day with family and friends. We booked the Nassau Inn because it was located in Princeton (a family friendly and walkable town in NJ) and offered great packages. We quickly learned that everyone was so kind, helpful, and easy to reach. Jaime and Roger truly guided us through planning our big day. Each decision felt so easy and we trusted them 100%! The food was amazing and beyond our expectations. The bartenders were friendly. Our guests had made so many positive comments! Also, having the cake included was a huge time saver for us, and we enjoyed working with a local bakery who were very accommodating. Choosing the Nassau Inn for our wedding venue was the best decision we made!

Ficus|Restaurant, Cafe & Gallery

5.0

Princeton, NJ
  • Up to 100 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Located in downtown Princeton, our venue is strategically situated close to Princeton University, St. Paul Roman Catholic School, Princeton United Methodist Church, and the Princeton University Chapel. Free parking behind the building. Our two-story space offers both indoor seating on two floors and a charming outdoor patio for a delightful dining experience.

My wife and I got married in Princeton in August, and we hosted a dinner / welcome party at Ficus on a Friday evening. We cannot recommend it highly enough for an event! Every course of dinner was phenomenal, and it felt like we were getting 5-star quality food at a very reasonable price. The smoked salmon canapes, ratatouille, seabass, potato croquettes, desserts - all superb (and that's not even half of the things we ate!). The h'ors d'oeuvres were also delicious, and the service was extremely friendly - Quinta and the team were great to work with prior to the event as well. The space itself was perfect, with a good amount of room on the outdoor patio and plenty of space inside. (We had 80 people at the event). Perfect for folks who might be a little more COVID-cautious and prefer to eat outside. If you want to host an event in Princeton, Ficus is a great spot.

This one-of-a-kind venue provides you an opportunity to celebrate a day designed exclusively for you. Weddings at The Madison offers award winning cuisine with flexible and customizable packages; personalized menus for themes, special appetites; and blending and honoring family traditions. Our experienced and professional staff of catering and culinary personnel will assist you throughout the planning process and be with you throughout your wedding day celebration. Our wealth of experience can assist you in planning the day of your dreams. When it comes to events, The Madison is as efficient as it is elegant. Whatever the function — bridal shower, fundraiser, board meeting, christening, banquet, networking seminar, workshop, luncheon, dinner, conference, retirement or holiday party — it will be enhanced by the magnificent space, remarkable food and convenient amenities of The Madison.

My partner and I were recently married end of 2023 at The Madison and it was everything we hoped our wedding day would be and more! Everything was truly perfect-- from the stunning venue, rock-star wedding coordinator, 5-Star dining and phenomenal staff. There is a saying that goes “people may not remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel”. I suppose that is a perfect place to start. From the moment we stepped into the The Madison for our initial tour, wedding coordinator Thomas made us not only feel completely comfortable but also that he was just as excited as we were to plan our wedding. His energy and passion made us confident that we not only had found the venue we desired, but the staff as well. Through months of planning he was 100% on top of every detail. There was no stone left unturned as he helped guide us to creating the wedding of our dreams. On the actual wedding day, Thomas and the staff at The Madison collaborated so seamlessly with all of our vendors. Everyone was completely in tune with our vision and made sure the execution was perfect. Our bartenders and the wait staff were 100% on point the entire night and all of our guests complimented how well the service and food was! As for the atmosphere of the venue itself – absolutely stunning! We were married outdoor by the fireplace shortly after sunset. Words cannot give justice to how breathtaking this backdrop was and it was the most romantic setting to exchange our vows. We would strongly recommend reviewing some of the pictures on their Instagram account so you can see how truly beautiful this space is. We were concerned about the cold since we did get married in the heart of winter, but there were ample heaters aligned around the seats so our guests remained comfortable and the fireplace by our side kept us warm through the entire ceremony. We cannot thank The Madison enough for making sure our wedding day was perfect!

Brick Farm Tavern

5.0

Hopewell, NJ
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive

The Brick Farm Tavern creates pasture-to-table dining in a way few have experienced before. Whether you’re coming for cocktails at our bar or a special dinner in the dining room, you will appreciate the importance we place on our farming and artisan community. The relationship with our partner farmers at Double Brook Farm in Hopewell is the cornerstone of our menu development. Additional proteins, vegetables and grains come from local area farms and specialty growers. Once here, guests will dine in the thoughtfully renovated original 1800’s farmhouse of the Double Brook land, which sits adjacent to the fields on which many of the animals have pastured. Events at Brick Farm Tavern are meant to highlight the best ingredients of our region with unique themes and experiences.

Brick Farm Tavern wasn't the first venue we booked; we had a deposit on a vineyard barn in Vermont with promises of local farm-to-table fare & an indoor-outdoor experience. It all fell apart due to scheduling issues, but I can say with certainty that was for the absolute best. Brick Farm Tavern delivered on all the things we had hoped to find in Vermont, and then some. Most importantly, it was all-inclusive; we no longer had to pay per fork, per chair, per napkin for a luxe experience. If you have never been, go there for dinner, and you will see what I mean! We wanted guests to feel like they were being hosted at a high-end house party, and judging by the fact that we couldn't get anyone to leave, even hours after the bar went to cash (and then closed), I know it was a success. On Experience: Bolstered by lovely weather, we had full use of Brick Farm's grounds: patio seating, outdoor games, and later on, the firepit. Most of our guests chose to spend their time outside, but that didn't stop the dance floor from picking up steam! While finding space for a band might be difficult at the Tavern, we supplemented our DJ with two acoustical performers (see Justin Jones music!) that were even able to follow us outside during cocktail hour. They kept pace with the vibe of the evening, transitioning between acoustic guitar and dance music; the cozy size of the dance floor made it always feel full! The firepit outside allowed less rhythmically inclined guests to experience a different vibe, without being stuck staring at the dancers from their tables. Brick Farm even made s'mores kits for guests to enjoy! On Food: We knew the food was going to be good (it always is), but it was spectacular, personalized, and served with care. We chose not to assign seats because there were more guests than seats. No one seemed to mind, and unlike with a bad seating chart, no one complained either! Guests could wander up to food stations when they pleased, be served a meal of their choice (we even had vegan options!), and eat wherever they wished, either inside at the tables or outside on the patio. Plus, the servers were so attentive; they walked around, checking on us and our guests constantly! People often joke they don't get to eat at their own weddings; well I ate! The staff brought me hors d'oeuvres in between photographs, made me a plate from all the stations & set it with a paired wine from their reserve. The highlight of the reception for me was absconding the immaculately set wine cellar for dinner with my closest friends and family. It was so lovely I could cry. On Drink: Speaking of wine, the Tavern did not hold back on our open bar. For many of our friends and family, this was the highlight - the quality of the alcohol served was the same they would serve patrons of their restaurant. My uncle could not stop talking about being served Troon beer, and my bridesmaids loved the Lemon and Bees cocktail. I am underselling this, I think because I am not a drinker, but just trust me that no corners were cut by their bar staff. As an aside, I should mention that they also included a free valet service, so I had some peace of mind as the night came to a close. Brick Farm Tavern made our reception unique by tailoring the experience to us, and our guests as individuals, simultaneously. Everyone enjoyed themselves: introverts, extroverts, old and young - it sounds too good to be true, but I guess you just have to see it to believe it!

I could not have asked for a better place to have my ceremony and reception. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful and if for whatever reason the weather wasn’t gorgeous the indoor barn space as a plan B for the ceremony was also so stunning. My day of coordinator Dani and Bridal attendant Ashley were both so sweet and wonderful to work with. They were on top of everything so I didn’t have a single worry during our day. I received so many compliments on how professional and attentive the staff was and even more on how great the food tasted. We opted to use the wine cellar for a bourbon tasting and that too was a huge hit! What a venue. What a team. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience with and at Hotel Du Village. Heather was our event coordinator, though I think she played multiple roles throughout the process - wedding planner, vision/ideas consult, resource guide/manager, friend...you name it. She wore many hats, and she wore them so well. Heather always kept our vision at the forefront of the planning process. I remember her saying throughout our time that it was most important to her that this was the day we "always imagined it would be." Indeed, it was. The bones of the venue are so unique and special - many guests commented on the design of the space. In addition, the food and drinks are amazing - another common remark we heard from many guests after the wedding as well! Heather and her team made the whole day feel smooth, seamless and tailored to what we envisioned. In addition, the whole team was so friendly, attentive and energetic throughout the process and especially day-of. You can tell they have the timeline management down to a science - all transitions felt natural and smooth throughout the night. We felt the love and the care that this team brings to cultivate such an amazing experience for its couples. We feel lucky and would highly recommend working with them!
