Our barn sits on 13 acres in Forest City, NC and is large enough to comfortably accommodate 200 guests. Our mission is to glorify God by being a faithful steward of everything we have and to demonstrate the love of Christ to everyone we encounter. In doing this we hope to provide our couples with the best wedding day possible that will build memories to last a life time.

Being surrounded by over 35 peaceful acres of meadows and woods, outdoor space is a big part of what we are about. The Murray’s Mill Historic District, in the rolling countryside of eastern Catawba County, nestles just as it was a century ago along the banks of Balls Creek. Preserved intact are the 1913 mill itself, the 1890s Murray & Minges General Store, the 1880s Wheathouse, used as an exhibit gallery, the 1913 John Murray House, furnished to the period, and numerous outbuildings. Run by three generations of the Murray Family who closed operations in 1967, the picturesque structures and surrounding land form the last milling complex in the county, meticulously preserved and interpreted by the Catawba County Historical Association since 1980.

Our historic farm which was established in 1890 has since been transformed into a tranquil venue to create lasting memories. Our open-air pavilion with exposed beams and exquisite handmade chandeliers makes for great reception area. The wooden arch overlooking the Carolina mountains is just a short walk across the lawn creating the perfect ceremony location.

Our Lake Lure event hall can hold up to 85 people comfortably for weddings, business meetings, social events, as well as outdoor campouts. We offer a large property with a playground and spacious covered pavillion for outdoor events. The location is private, quiet, and off the main road, with an abundance of free parking.
