I have been involved with photography all my life. When language was a barrier, I relied on the medium to tell a story while studying in Europe & earned a BFA from the University of Arizona majoring in photography. Our Story Hello everyone. We are Matthew & Penny Garofalo, a husband and wife videography team based near Pittsburgh. We met during our time at Kent State University, fell in love shortly thereafter, and have been enjoying life together ever since. The Stables at Connoquenessing was originally built in 1928 as part of the Spang Estate. What was once a working barn home to Belgian draft horses and Guernsey cows, has now been renovated into a rustic, yet elegant two-story event facility. During the 1950s, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and geese could be found roaming the portion of the property that is now occupied by a covered patio, well-kept landscaping, and ample green space that creates a beautiful natural setting for all of your future events. The two-story barn was renovated and reopened as a rustic, yet elegant event facility in 2017. Complete with modern-day amenities, such as a fully-equipped catering kitchen, cozy bar and cocktail space, intimate downstairs dining area, covered patio, spacious second-floor banquet hall, this unique venue is the perfect setting for any gathering.
