During that time, she upgraded her gear. Some 300+ weddings later & a decade later, the rest is history. She's a type 4, cat-obsessed, nostalgic, hype, and bubbly. You will often find her documenting with her famous cook husband Ganer or many of her talented associates.

I love to have fun and I put 110% into everything I do. I’m outgoing, talkative, silly, a little sarcastic…but most importantly I’m a mother. I LOVE photography and I got into it after having our first daughter. Like most new parents I wanted to capture everything she did. It became an obsession for me to perfect my photography, partly because I like to be the best at whatever I do and also because I wanted to have amazing pictures of my girls! I am a fine art wedding photographer and wedding planner, wife, and mother to our three sweet babies! I first fell in love with photography at an early age. After college I started a job as a party coordinator. I did this for years. Then, on blind faith started my own journey into the world of photography and wedding planning!

I began, 2017; ‘Editorial Fashion’ working with modeling agencies. Then doing my 1st wedding by request in Taiwan for a Luxury Editorial style wedding. I completely fell in love with wedding imagery and the process that all goes into the experience. From there ‘I’ became ‘we’ as my team grew. Having refined our Luxury Editorial Image over the years!

I started Megan Pontius Photography after I graduated Highschool in 2021. I didn't really get into couples photography until I got married in 2022. It wasn't until then that I really saw the different seasons in a relationship.
