Meyer's Castle is a world class historic landmark set on a hill surrounded by beautiful manicured rolling gardens. The Mt. Zion Convention Center is a multipurpose meeting and convention facility located in the newly constructed Mt. Zion Village East building along State Highway 121. Modern in design and technology, the Convention Center will serve Mt. Zion and our surrounding community as a destination for local and regional events. It has a grand ballroom that can be divided into three smaller rooms as well as three other small meeting rooms. The grand ballroom contains 11,000 square feet of unobstructed exhibit/meeting space, full-service catering, and experienced staff to help coordinate events of many sizes from as few as ten people to as many as 800 guests!

Construction on the Lake Springfield Postal Club began in the early 1940s. Post office employees donated over 50,000 hours on weekends, evenings and days off to complete the building. A team of horses and a sliding bucket were used to dig out the basement. The Postal Club officially opened in 1948. The total construction cost was approximately $15,000. In 2005, there were only two of the original Postal Club members left. In 2000 the Postal Club merged with the Springfield Firefighters Local 37. In 2001 the firefighters burned down the original Postal Club to make way for a new building. The new club was completed in 2002. The total construction cost was $3.6 million. The clubhouse is surrounded by 5 acres of woods, with boathouses, docks, beaches, parking lot, sidewalks, bandstand, and much more.
