I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this wedding venue is. From start to finish, they made the whole process easy. They have packages where you can have a huge portion of your wedding included, so you do not have to look for many outside vendors like a baker, photographer, and caterer. Brandi and Meaghan are AMAZING!! We had some minors issues with some of our guests, and they took care of all of it and did not want us to stress on our big day. If you are looking for a wedding venue, SERIOUSLY. LOOK NO FURTHER. You will no regret it :) I love you guys so much and cannot thank you enough!

Mess Hall

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Mess Hall is a modern wedding venue located in the heart of Washington, D.C. The only private event space in DC that looks into an open industrial kitchen, Mess Hall provides an urban and inviting atmosphere that your guests won’t soon forget. The polished concrete floors, exposed industrial ceilings and mid-century modern décor all make this venue the unique and versatile space you’ve been searching for. Having hosted events for countless local clients, such as DC Brau, The Smithsonian Institution, The Embassy of Japan and more, Mess Hall has the experience and reputation needed to host the celebration of a lifetime. For a true urban wedding experience in the middle of one of America’s most well-known cities, look no further than Mess Hall!

My husband and I had a tiny COVID wedding and chose Mess Hall as our venue for a post-wedding party to celebrate with all of our friends a year later. Our experience working with the team at Mess Hall was completely wonderful from start to finish! When we first saw Mess Hall and met with Al, we knew we’d found the right place for our party. It was such a warm first meeting, just checking out the venue over a couple of beers, and we could totally picture ourselves and our friends in the cool, laid-back space. We knew right away that we could trust Al to help us pull off our vision for the party. A few months later, Mess Hall added their new event coordinator Jordan, who is absolutely wonderful. Great vibes from the entire team—incredibly supportive, willing to do anything to make our party perfect, and always at the ready with helpful suggestions when we needed them. The day of the party, we felt so loved and supported by everyone at Mess Hall while we collaborated on setting things up (Al personally helped us hang our neon sign and disco ball) and put the finishing touches on our vision. Jordan and Al both made sure everything went smoothly all night—and we have Jordan to personally thank for documenting the party on our polaroid camera! It was a perfect night and we can’t recommend Mess Hall highly enough!

The Capitol View at 400
Washington, DC
  • Up to 400 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $10,000

The design of this new rooftop began in May 2011 and started with a gravel rooftop similar to the other tower at this location. The building is located at 400 – 444 North Capitol Street, NW in the heart of Capitol Hill. The owners of the building wanted to give visitors an opportunity to view one of Washington’s most spectacular views of the Nation’s Capitol. There are just a handful of rooftop venues in Washington that offer great views and all of them are different. We are fortunate to have a view that pans 300 degrees from Union Station to the Library of Congress, the Capitol Dome, and across to the Washington Monument. And anyone who has visited Washington knows that when the sun sets and the monuments light up the view is even more spectacular. From this vantage point, you feel like you can reach out and touch the sky and marvel and the beauty that is Washington!

The space is modern and well-appointed with AV, lighting and equipment including tables, chairs and bars. All are high quality and brand new! Event spaces throughout the Museum make for lots of different party plans - a spacious, open first floor would work nicely for a ceremony or program with cocktails on the open-air roof terrace and second floor with time to flip the ceremony space for dinner. Kate and all the Viceroy staff were awesome and available to guide as we hosted a small, socially distance and intimate wedding reception. She was always available and flexible. She is the most awesome ambassador for the Viceroy hotels. The hotel was new and well maintained and we loved the outdoor patio where we held our reception. If you are looking a place to host a small outdoor wedding and or reception definitely consider the Viceroy. They heard our concerns and made sure our safety and the safety of our guests was paramount. The food was amazing, definitely try the chicken sandwich!

I had the pleasure of working with the director of catering, Liliana Klein, on a gorgeous wedding this February. I was the couple's planner and was thrilled to be able to produce a wedding at Ritz Carlton Georgetown. Throughout the process, Liliana was so professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with. I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests. Would work here for every wedding if I could! Plus, gatherings of 100 or less are my favorite!! Thank you, Liliana and RC staff.
