It’s by immersing myself in travel that my eyes were first opened to videography. Being an adoptee from another country I fell in love with the process of collecting memories. I feel that my exposure to changing environments has allowed me to appreciate things from various perspectives and remain calm and assertive in fast pace situations. Such as weddings!  I've been a videographer for 7 years now, and I absolutely love it. I have a passion for telling stories through my work, and I truly believe that every moment captured on camera is an opportunity to create something special. One of my favorite things to do is incorporate dramatic lighting into my imagery, whether I'm filming a wedding or taking couples' photos. I also love to travel and take photos of landscapes and other beautiful places. Whenever I go somewhere new, I always bring my camera along so I can capture every little moment. When I'm not working or traveling, I like to read and spend time with my best friend and our dog, Scout.

I have been involved in the "arts" since I was a child. It wasn't until I graduated high school when I really started to pick up a camera. It stated with photography when a friend of mine asked me to take photos of him for instagram. From that point on it was addicting. I later met someone who was interested in hiring me to do videography for his wedding. Growing up I have always said that there isn't any project too big. So I took this challenge and kicked it in the butt. They were extremely pleased and that's what started the videography business.

Hey I'm Matt, I've been described as the action man at Whitt Photography and Film. I'm a FAA licensed Drone pilot as well as the lead videographer! I've been known to get involved in corn hole tournaments at weddings with the groomsmen. Just because it's your wedding day doesn't mean I'll let you win.
