In 1830, James and Penelope Barfield Carothers built the original two log rooms of the Cool Springs House located at what is presently the intersection of Mallory Lane and Cool Springs Boulevard. Many years later, the house had major renovations done to it by adding the second story, the downstairs hall, and the front porch. “Upon stepping foot on to their breath taking property I was immediately blown away by the mountain and lake views and resort. The lodge it self is something out of a hallmark movie. Once you walk into the lodge you're greeted by a very friendly staff as well as beautiful views. I love the fact that they have two separate wings that are decorated as his and hers, you each get your own getting ready area as well. They even have a speak easy if you chose to stay the night! If you truly want a stress free day then this venue is the perfect place for you!”
