The first time I photographed a wedding was intensely nerve-wracking, but as the day wore on it really started to click and I fell in love with getting to be such an important part of the celebration. “2020 has been crazy for everyone. We originally had a big wedding planned in late August but COVID had other plans. So we decided to have a much smaller ceremony and Ryan was willing to help. We got ahold of him a week or so before and told him the basic plans, even though we had actually planned none of it, and he was more than willing to accommodate us. We started planning on a Monday and the wedding was on that Thursday and he didn't miss a beat and managed to be extremely helpful. The pictures we got were amazing in a lot of different ways. He took a lot of great photos of us getting ready before the ceremony. He was able to capture our intimate ceremony very well. He did all of the things we wanted and was also able to suggest a lot of great ideas to capture the day. He even managed to get some great candids when we were having fun and joking around before, during, and after the ceremony. Ryan Richardson was very professional and the pictures are amazing but more than that he was able to make us less stressed during a very short, high-stress planning period. Because of the reassurances and communication during the planning period, we knew that our pictures would come out great with Ryan.”

“We just received our photos back from our wedding about a month ago, and we were blown away. We had a feeling the photos would be wonderful because of how professional and attentive our photographer (Athel) was, but of course there is always still that suspense. The team at Indigo and Ivory was wonderful throughout the entire process, always communicative, and it felt like they really cared. Athel even drove a good distance to attend an open house with us at our venue, to get some ideas ahead of time around what settings would be best. He was lovely throughout the whole event, super accommodating of our special requests, and captured all the most important moments. We cannot recommend them enough, the images came out amazing and we are getting tons of compliments! If there is anything I would do differently (and this is not any knock on Indigo and Ivory, this is just general advice for anyone looking to hire any photographer), I probably would have went ahead and added a second photographer for the day (which is something they offer). I wanted to cut costs a bit so we didn't go for it - but of course if you have two you will make sure to get all the different angles you are hoping for and then each person can spend a bit more time with both wedding parties to capture more of those candid moments. I also wish I had made sure to put together a better list of shots that I wanted - once again, these are items that I recommend in general and has nothing to do with Indigo and Ivory. If there are certain things you want your photographer to capture, make sure to write them down and communicate! With all that being said, even if you go with just one photographer and you happen to forget to write down all the specific moments or you just want things to be more free-flow - I 100% recommend Indigo and Ivory for you! They are wonderful and I'm so happy we have these gorgeous images to treasure for years to come.”

“I feel so passionately about recommending Sasha I don't even know where to begin! My fiancee and I, as well as several members of our wedding party, have not stopped talking about how great she was since our wedding a couple weeks ago. Sasha did our photos for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. When we started wedding planning, it was important to us to hire vendors who not only aligned with a product we wanted and our price range, but also who were kind, good people we'd want to spend our wedding day with. Some vendors fell short, but Sasha made up for it and then some. First of all, Sasha is EXTREMELY talented. She really captures your essence in her work and several people commented to me that they could "feel" our wedding and emotions through our photos. Her photos are not cheesy or contrived, which was something we knew we wanted when hiring a photographer, and her values aligned with what we were looking for. She is very talented at working with lighting in special and artistic ways. Sasha was exactly the person I needed to be with to help ground and calm the energy of everything when it otherwise felt chaotic. She is cool as a cucumber under pressure, kind to every single person she meets, carries such a positive energy, and is a true professional at pivoting/troubleshooting when something goes wrong. She's also a quiet leader who will help keep your wedding running smoothly, pay attention to your timeline, etc. We had a giant wedding party and she somehow corralled people very quickly to get all the group shots we requested, so that I never had to think about it. On the wedding day, as others have said, she was somehow everywhere, but in the least obstructive way possible. I didn't even notice her during the reception or ceremony yet somehow she captured amazing pictures from lots of amazing angles. Leading up to the wedding, Sasha was a delight to work with. She was VERY responsive and willing to meet with us both over the phone and in person. She took the time to do a walk-through of our venue with us, which put me at ease to scope out where we'd take pictures. She even hopped on a Zoom call with us while on her vacation the week before our wedding. Last but not least, Sasha got us our engagement pictures AND our wedding gallery preview much faster than anticipated! If I sound slightly crazed in my obsession for Sasha, it's because I am lol. “My husband and I hired Aprea Media, aka Sarah and John, to be our photographers for our wedding. Their package came with an engagement photo session, which we did shortly after hiring them. The engagement session was so much fun! We went to the place we had our first date, LA Burdick, and Sarah captured so many cute photos of us drinking hot chocolate together. We then walked around Cambridge and had some really fun impromptu photos at a flower shop. We loved the engagement photos so much we used them on our save-the-dates and incorporated them into the wedding decor! It was so awesome having Sarah and John both capture all of our special moments on the day of the wedding, from getting ready (BOTH me and my husband have a bunch of awesome getting ready photos!), our first look and portraits before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, reception festivities, and incredibly artistic details shots. They are both so much fun and offer cute suggestions for poses, but they also go with the flow if you have fun ideas you want to try! We got a lot of really sweet unplanned photos throughout the night. I didn't know anything about different photography styles before we hired them (we just liked their work and they were super friendly), but they really are so experienced with candid/documentary style photography. We love having photos where we can see all the sincere emotions on our faces from laughing, crying with joy, and pure bliss, in addition to our more posed portrait-style photos. Sarah's editing is so dreamy across all our engagement and wedding photos. We now have our walls at home covered in their photography - they did such an amazing job capturing all the fun parts of our day! As a really sweet bonus, they recorded video of our first dance and ceremony upon our request, along with a lot of fun highlights that we get to watch to relive the memories now. We truly can't recommend them enough!!!”
