“We had an amazing experience with The Hook Club for our wedding. Dan and his team were so easy to work with, and their 5-piece DJ band was the perfect, fun switch-up from a traditional band for our June wedding at Greenpoint Loft. We also had a ceremony guitarist and a saxophonist with tracks for the cocktail hour, which added great touches to the day. The uplights they brought for the room were priced very well and created a beautiful atmosphere. The music planning worksheet they provided was incredibly helpful, and they offered valuable advice on the timeline and flow of the reception, which was a huge help. They were fun to work with, and on the night of the wedding, they absolutely crushed it. The music was fantastic, they kept the vibes high, and their crowd engagement was excellent. Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. “We met Denise when she DJ'd a friend's wedding and it was the most fun reception I'd ever attended. I knew she HAD to be my DJ if ever I got married! From day 1 of meeting with her for our wedding, it was clear that her goal was to give us the best party of our lives, whatever that looked like to us. She had great advice throughout the entire process and took time to get to know us and what style/vibe we wanted for our reception. Communication is key, and she had the logistics of the reception planned down to the minute. The music portal is very user friendly and it was really fun to think through our music. If you need song advice, she's your gal. She will strictly adhere to your do NOT play list. She gets the guests engaged and is truly a party starter (if that's what you want). Our guests told us they were sore the next morning because they literally never left the dance floor. Many have asked us to do an annual anniversary party and have Denise DJ it. She will become your family DJ for life and we know of at least 2 guests who plan to have her DJ their wedding. She is a lovely human and a STELLAR DJ. We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, but throughout it all the band was so flexible and accommodating. Planning a wedding on an island comes with additional challenges, but they were easy to work with in securing their accommodations and ferry reservations (i.e. they did it all). George was professional, responsive and supportive. After the wedding, they even DJ’d music at the after party and kept the energy pumping into the night.
