The 1950's barn, nestled on the corner of a forty-acre farm on the Indiana/Illinois state line, has been renovated into an event venue that could comfortably seat over 350 people. Some highlights include a foyer that could be driven through, the ballroom boasting five chandeliers, heating/cooling, kitchenettes, changing rooms, restrooms, an outdoor pavilion, numerous outdoor ceremony locations, and grounds with mature trees.

Owners Randy and Kelli Marsh started Crooked Creek Whitetails, LLC in 2011 as a whitetail hunting preserve. “Kelli and her husband were SO helpful. They did so much to make sure we had a perfect day and that everything looked gorgeous. Kelli was so creative at helping me pick out floral arrangements and décor (not my cup of tea) which took a lot of pressure of my shoulders as a bride. I was able to customize my reception so that it was still very elegant, yet outdoorsy. The convenience of having an outdoor dance floor was perfect for the beautiful September wedding we had. Guests were able to be indoors or outdoors and the elderly people were able to avoid the loud music if they wanted to, and there was plenty of space for everyone to move around. The entire property is such a beautiful place to walk around as well! From the lake to the wildflower field, there are TONS of great pic ops. As a bride that was very important to me and Kelli personally escorted my bridal party around as we got pictures anywhere we wanted on the property. Kelli was always prompt and friendly whenever I had any questions and overall both her and her husband made the whole process go smoothly. I can't recommend this place enough! By the time our wedding was all over, my husband and I felt like family and we can't wait to go back and visit!”

Engelbrecht Farm sits on 8 acres and is located in the heart of farming country. A very unique structural features of the barn is the opening to allow guests to be seated to two levels and both levels can look at the head table for a gallery type feel. The other unique feature is its size. It is the largest actual barn (not modern structure that looks like a barn) within multiple states at 4500 square feet. Adjacent to the barn is the old 4000 square foot feedlot with flower garden and iron pergola. Late in the day makes for a great spot for outdoor games. With the barn comes the recently restored, three bedroom farmhouse originally constructed in the 1890’s. One amazing aspect for the wedding package is it’s a standard three day booking. Families arrive on Friday and check out on Sunday. This gives them time to relax and take the whole experience in. Plus the time is spent making their wedding their own. This is the place for imagination and creativity to really shine.

Chris was extremely flexible and understanding of our situation. He helped us safely plan our dream wedding and made sure everything went perfect for us. The barn is original, rustic and absolutely beautiful. You can really make it fit your vision with your decorations, lights, etc. You get access to the barn and farmhouse for the entire weekend of your wedding which takes out a lot of the stress and time constraints that usually occur. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the people who run it! If your looking for a rustic wedding venue in the area that is just down the road from a brand new hotel and several local businesses for your guests to enjoy, I highly recommend Englebrecht Farm!”
