I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by weddings and events. My family owns an event venue there still. I took a detour and played professional golf for a number of years before A. Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. I am in love with the process of learning, practicing and executing new and fun techniques on my clients’ cakes. More than that, creating a cake for someone’s special day gives me the most warm feeling. It’s truly why I do what I do.

Years later, after we had our son, I found myself at a crossroads. He was just 6 months old, and I wasn’t quite ready to go back to work full-time — but I still wanted something of my own. So I rolled out a freezer and started scooping Thrifty ice cream right inside our family store. It was simple, fun, and full of nostalgia. We had actually dreamed of starting a mobile ice cream business even before then, 14 years ago!

We decided to combine the two most joyful things in life, bicycles and ice cream! Our home base is in Tempe but you can find our products at The Kitchen's Market on Guadeloupe and the 101 in Mesa and we can travel anywhere in Maricopa County. Chez Peachy was originally founded in 2016 in Montreal, Canada, and then moved to NYC, and finally relocated to Tucson, Arizona. “Chez Peachy” is a French term that means "At Peachy's Place". "Peachy" was a nickname given to me from birth.

We began as a concession company providing cotton candy at sporting events. In the fall of 2021, we extended our brand by starting our own manufacturing plant. Sweet Buckets was born as an option for customers and businesses to purchase Cotton Candy and Gourmet popcorns direct from our company.
