Pack the right gear for your bachelorette party to ensure you and your friends have the best weekend. Here's a list of things to bring to a bachelorette party.
Last updated February 5, 2024
Just like any other vacation, a bachelorette party weekend needs a packing list. While the necessary accessories and wardrobe choices may depend on your bachelorette theme or locale, this list will make sure you have all the basics for your weekend. Let the IG likes roll in—here’s the bachelorette party packing list you need to make sure you pack everything you need for the ultimate bachelorette weekend.
Obviously, much of your bachelorette party outfits will depend on your location, activities, and the bachelorette party theme, if applicable. Here, though, are a few must-haves for every party style.
It’s a celebration after all—decorate for the occasion. Typically, whoever plans the bachelorette party (usually the MOH or the bridesmaids) is responsible for filling the hotel room, Airbnb, or other accommodations with themed decor. Visit our Wedding Shop for tons of bachelorette party decor options.
While you may have dinners, brunches, or meal outings throughout the weekend, don’t underestimate the hunger and thirst of a bachelorette party group.
Everyone loves a reason to party and celebrate with specialized gifts and favors. The right favors will depend on your direction, theme, and bachelorette party ideas, but some you should definitely consider include:
Bachelorette games keep the party festivities moving. They’re also a great way to pass time or break the ice.
If you’re traveling a good distance for your bachelorette party, you’ll need to remember some important logistical items, too.
In addition to all the bachelorette items you’ll want to pack, you also want to make sure to add all the normal travel essentials to your packing list, including:
Just like there are things you definitely want to bring to a bachelorette party, there are also things that, according to bachelorette party etiquette (and just general travel best practices!), you definitely don’t want to bring, including:
A lot of cash... Traveling with a large sum of cash is never a good idea. While it’s fine to bring a small amount of cash in case of emergency, stick to credit cards instead. If your cash gets stolen, you’re out of luck—but if your credit card is stolen, it’s generally pretty easy to get a replacement (and get any fraudulent charges reversed).
...or a lot of stuff. You don’t want to show up at a bachelorette party with a bunch of big, heavy bags. Instead, try to fit all your necessities into one or two easy-to-transport bags (like a duffel bag or a carry-on sized roller bag).
Shoes or clothing that look good—but don’t feel good. Of course you want to look good on a bachelorette—but you also don’t want to bring clothes or shoes that are restrictive or uncomfortable! Bring outfits that not only look good, but that you feel comfortable being out and about in (for example, instead of stiletto heels—which may be hard to walk in—consider more feet-friendly shoes, like wedges or flats).
Every bachelorette party is different. This list certainly isn’t comprehensive but will serve as a friendly reminder as you and your bridal party prepare for your weekend. Send it around in a group chat and be sure to discuss packing plans early enough so no one forgets anything important.
