We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

We had the best experience for our wedding photos. From the moment I first spoke with Frank I knew this was going to be a smooth and easy process. Irene and Min were such a pleasure to work with the day of our wedding. Being 9 months pregnant, they were very mindful and compassionate to my needs. They captured the best moments throughout the night. The delivery of our photos was much quicker than I expected and as I looked through all the pictures I was able to relive that moment in time. Thank you again for capturing our magical day. I highly recommend NJ Wedding Studio!

Justin McCallum Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Justin did a truly beautiful job in photographing our wedding at NYC’s City Hall and in short, we cannot recommend him enough. He is a beyond talented photographer and knew seemingly everything about how to capture the joy and excitement of us getting married. Just as importantly, he was a tireless cheerleader for us and had an encyclopedic knowledge of places to go and ways to compose pictures that are beautiful, varied, and memorable. The result of Justin’s efforts was a book of wedding photos that we were thrilled by, shared with all our family, and will treasure for the rest of our lives. He is truly an exceptional photographer and cannot be recommended more highly.

Hi, I'm Celeste, I'm from a small town in Spain. Now leaving in NY. I have spent the last seven years getting to know new humans and documenting their stories and connections. How they got into that point of their life, and what makes them light up. I feel it is quite a responsibility and a significant honor to be able to create this legacy for them.

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are looking for an incredibly talented, professional, warm and creative wedding photographer then look no further. My husband and I feel so, so lucky to have worked with Celeste for our February 2022 wedding! We initially hired Celeste for our Brooklyn wedding planned for June 2020. After multiple postponements and major changes to our original plans, we settled on a February 2022 wedding in Marietta, GA. Celeste was an absolute gem through all of these changes, always super accommodating and understanding. Celeste is incredibly talented and shot absolutely gorgeous moments we are so lucky that she captured! She really goes out of her way to ensure a flawless experience. For instance, the day before our wedding, she scoped out the location for our "first look" and organized a shot list of different locations around the square that would make phenomenal backdrops. And they truly were- are now some of our favorite shots! Celeste is so friendly, warm, and just lovely to work with from start to finish. My sister also hired her for her engagement photos and had an equally superb experience! I look forward to working with Celeste again. Thank you for helping us preserve our wedding day memories so beautifully, Celeste!!

Your job is to get married & stay in the moment. Amy's job is to bring those moments back to you. She looks for lovingly offbeat couples. | Contact via website.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Amy to document our 75-guest wedding in Brooklyn. From the first emails to final delivery of the photos, working with her was a total pleasure. We talked with Amy before we hired her, and during that exploratory conversation she seemed to understand our wishes and concerns and gave us confidence we were all on the same page. We could tell she’s experienced—in addition to talented, so evident on her website and in social media posts—and we liked that her photos aren’t overly stylized, instead privileging the people and the moments in front of her. Amy helped us map and pace the photography for our wedding day, relieving us of potential stress. Her camera-side manner while she worked was excellent, both cheerful and assured, including suggesting movements or adjustments that improved the shots. She made us first-time models more comfortable. During the ceremony and dinner, she worked efficiently and without intruding on our, or our guests’, experiences. A number of weeks later, she sent us a polished package of images that we’ll treasure as reminders of our favorite weekend together. Thank you, Amy! --Hicks & Molly

hey you! thanks for dropping by. my name is shelby, and i am a queer artist and manhattan based photographer who specializes in weddings + equine portraiture. my priority as a photographer is developing a personal relationship with each and every one of my clients (two or four legged). your special moments are their most pure when you are comfortable and ready to just have fun, and i am here to create that joyful space.

I knew from our first message exchange that Shelby was the right choice for our us. She’s so down to Earth and was always on the same page as us. The photo shoot itself was a ton of fun, and spending that time with her was like hanging out with a friend who was also a professional photographer. I’ll also note that my wife - who tends to be a bit particular about things - left me in charge of finding the photographer, and she hasn’t stopped praising me for what a great choice I made with Shelby. This level of praise is something that almost never happens, so thank you Shelby for helping me score some points!

Kathryn Cooper Weddings

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,600

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements, to hiking engagements, to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York and California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, and candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few awesomely unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
I would recommend her as a photographer to anyone who wants to have pictures that will allow them to keep reliving their wedding day. She was a joy to work with, easy-going, and yet very astute to our wishes as a couple. Kathryn made our already fantastic day one that we can keep visiting for many years to come. I don’t even know where to start. I think Kathryn was fated to be our wedding photographer. Nothing else explains how well it all turned out. Whenever I look at my wedding pictures, I relive my wedding so vividly that it is unreal. The way she was able to capture our day was beyond amazing, and it’s the same sentiment expressed by anyone who has viewed our photographs, from our wedding guests, family, and friends who didn’t attend, to strangers. Simply beautiful and magical. We found her online after months of searching and talking to many other photographers. She caught our attention with her pictures first but kept it with her personality and quality of work. We were able to feel the spirit, emotion, and genuine joy in them. Her attention to details and being able to capture all of those emotions spoke to us immediately. The creativity and sense of adventure that shined through her pictures secured her role on our joyous day. Her style matched ours so well. First of all, she was so easy to work with her. At the onset, our interactions were seamless, from the first conversation on the phone to the contracting process and the delivery of our photos. I have heard so many horror stories from friends and family about their photographers and being unhappy with the outcome that I was scared that my experience would be similar. However, working with Kathryn was indeed a dream, and my photos are beyond lovely. I don’t think a day has passed when we do not look at our photos with smiles on our faces. Her pictures are clear and full of energy. So well done that you can feel the emotions, hear the music, and experience all the joys. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to capture it the way she did. She was able to get little moments in-between moments. She was omnipresent yet invisible if that makes any sense, but it’s the best I can explain it. She was there when the Bridal party was getting ready yet not in the way. She captured the ceremony in a way that you can feel the love, the sincerity of our vows, and our audience responded to it all—documented the fun of the dance party to a point where you can hear the music that went along with the moves frozen in time. We hardly felt her presence in the room, but we know she was there because we have these captured moments. If you can book her, just do it!

Kim-Trang Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
After my (now) husband and I booked our venue we knew the next vendor that we needed to hire was a photographer. I was a semi crazy bride and I probably interviewed over 10 photographers. We were looking for someone who not only took gorgeous, bright photos but also someone we could personally connect to. As soon as we had our introductory call, we knew Kim was the one! She was so warm and thoughtful during our call - really trying to understand our love story and how we wanted our wedding to be like. I actually cried during our intro call - that's how safe I felt around her. About a couple months after we signed our contract, Kim reached out to schedule our engagement shoot. This is when my husband and I really got to connect with Kim and knew we 1000% made the right choice. Kim was super organized (which we loved) with scheduling the time, picking the location and coordinating the meet up. She made us feel so comfortable and she captured the most stunning photos. She kept us engaged and prompted questions and actions to make sure our engagement photos really captured who we were as a couple and didn't feel posed. She got to learn our goofy personalities and it was a great practice run for our big day. Now for our wedding ... omg I cannot put to words what amazing photos Kim and her team took. We just got our final gallery and it immediately brought us to tears. She was able to capture the perfect balance of posed photos but also candids. Her detail photos made it possible to re-live every moment of the day again. She also made sure we captured all our family portraits (even though they were super large). She truly felt like a best friend who was around during out most special day who just happened to also snap a lot of photos. Our bridal party loved having her around and we were all so comfortable. She made prepping for our wedding day as effortless and stress free as possible. Before our wedding we had calls to walk through our shot list, timelines. She was super engaged and organized - giving all the tips she could to keep us on track. She delivered our sneak peeks SO quickly. We had them a couple days after our wedding to enjoy and cry over them while we were on our honeymoon. She also delivered our final gallery within 2 months! I can't recommend Kim enough- she's not just a super talented photographer but she's also a beautiful soul who has truly become our friend through this whole process. Can't wait to keep re-living our wedding day through her photos!!

Dasha Murashka

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Awarded Best of Zola
Dasha was recommended to us by a friend, but we were unsure of what to expect and really weren't too enthused about having to take wedding photos (mostly a family request). We relented and ended up with a rainy day, which further worried us. Dasha calmly and efficiently guided us around her suggested locations, with minimal fuss. The whole experience was easy, efficient, and professional. The final product was excellent. We would absolutely recommend Dasha, especially if you have any doubts or are unsure of where/how/what you want...she will guide you perfectly!

I found my love for photography in a high school dark room, and I have continued to follow that passion to find myself today working as a hybrid photographer in both Film and Digital. I strive not to just take pictures, but to capture candid emotions and capture them in a beautiful way. My photography is personal and intimate. My approach is a mixture of fine art and documentary, I try to capture your moments and day as it happened but highlighting the special details and taking advantage of the best lighting. As a lover of history I love capturing personal and family histories that surround weddings.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! When we decide to have a wedding and not elope we knew our budget would be tight, but the photographer was the one thing we weren’t willing to compromise on. The catering and the venue could be modest, but our photographs will be part of our big day forever. Judson is the most kind and professional person we have worked with for our wedding. She was able to assist us through out the whole engagement through to the wedding day. Her artistic talent speaks for itself in the quality of our pictures. We couldn’t of asked for a more lovely person to work with. She was able to help us express our love and capture the true beauty of how we were loved.

Katie and David were a dream team for our May 2024 Wedding! They were one of our favorite vendors! We met with Katie almost 1.5 years prior to our wedding and were immediately put at ease and booked right away. We chose a 10 hour, 2 photographer package to make sure that we had all our bases covered - and we are SO happy that we did. From our engagement session in April 2023 to our wedding in May 2024, Katie and David made us feel so comfortable, confident and relaxed. Katie made sure we had all the shots we wanted and was so understanding and flexible with varying family dynamics, self-confidence worries, etc. She kept everything on track, in conjunction with our coordinator, and really made everything so fun and effortless! We received our sneak peeks 2-3 days after the wedding and they were STUNNING! We cannot wait to see the full gallery!! The day-of the wedding, we were worried it was going to storm and Katie came prepared with alternative options and photos that would have embraced the rain in all it's glory - really putting us at ease. Luckily, the weather cleared up and we were back to Plan A - but we know that she would have made the best of the situation! We could not recommend Katie enough and feel so lucky to be one of her wedding couples! We would re-book her in a heartbeat! We cannot thank them enough for giving us our memories to last a lifetime!!

i consider myself too much of a hopeless romantic and a laid-back photographer to bring the best in you! i’ve been told that nurture is my superpower, and documenting love stories is my outlet. over the years i’ve learned that when it comes to being creative, art it’s what makes me feel alive, that's why my approach to photography is to have an "as-personal-as-possible" experience with my couples by valuing authenticity and connection. to make the whole process feel light and easy! your life’s best moments and stages deserve to be documented in a way that tells YOUR story.

My (now) husband and I eloped in NYC and hired Juan to document the experience and I am so grateful we did!! Juan is the kindest, easiest person to work with and a wonderfully creative photographer. After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

Emma was absolutely amazing, from the moment we enquired right through to the end; she was great to deal with, very friendly and helpful, provided great advise and made everyone feel at ease! Highly professional, talented, organised and a great communicator, with an eye for detail! She captured all those special moments without being intrusive or even knowing that she was there. My husband is not a fan of the camera, Emma worked with it, didn’t make it a problem and captured some fantastic candid photos! We are so incredibly happy with our photos and highly recommend Emma to anyone who is wanting a professional wedding photographer!

I live in New York City and Northwest CT with my wife and our two rescue dogs. I am a commercial lifestyle and wedding photographer. My creative journey began when I spent a decade touring the country with my indie rock band, The Booda Velvets. While on tour I was always taking photos with my dad’s old Pentax film camera and a Polaroid SX70. During this time, my passion for documentary style photography was born and after touring I traded the guitar for the camera and haven’t looked back.

We had the pleasure of having Adam photograph our wedding in Ireland that spanned a windy, birght beach, an old, dimly-lit manor house and a sprawling field full of sheep as the sun was setting. No matter, the light, distractions or location, he took wonderful shots. He asked lots of targeted questions in the run up to the wedding so on the day of, he captured all the memories that were important to us while also staying in the background. Adam is an incredibly talented, smart and competent person. We could not recommend him more.

We photograph in our home cities of San Francisco, Chicago and New York City, but also travel internationally - we've photographed weddings in seven countries.

Tuan and his team were very professional, friendly, and did a great job capturing candid shots and unique photos of our wedding venue. They made us feel comfortable, which was very important to us. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a less conventional look to their wedding album, or anyone who wants to work with vintage cameras and analog film.

I've always bought a strong work ethic to anything I do (thanks Dad), if I am chosen to be your wedding photographer you will get my full attention and devotion to produce the most beautiful and complete coverage of your wedding that 20 years of experience can deliver. I work hard and stay incredibly focused because I know that every moment cannot be repeated. I love what I do and it shows in the work.

Working with Craig and his team was an absolute highlight of the wedding day. He is the epitome of thoughtful and professional. Craig was incredibly organized in advance of our event. He asked for a schedule of the day so he could figure out where he and his team needed to be and when. He helped us layout all the shots we wanted to make sure we got and nailed EVERY ONE. He was the perfect balance of present and invisible. And not only that, the pictures are INSANELY GORGEOUS. We made a stunning album from his images and look at it all the time. I cannot recommend Craig and his team enough.

I'm just an 80's born, 90's raised millennial photographer who wants to shoot passionate couples and have his avocado toast too. My approach to photography is journalistic, directed not posed. My approach to a wedding day is calm, attentive, easy-going, non-intrusive without being awkwardly shy, and always with a smile.

While I'm not a client of Hector's, I am a fellow wedding vendor (videographer) and there is no photographer I prefer working with over Hector. His energy is calming and easy-going, but he always makes sure we BOTH get what we need. Instead of fighting against each other to get our shots, we work so well together it actually enhances our footage. He's organized, straight-forward and attentive. Plus, he travels all over! 10/10 would recommend :)

I would describe myself as a minimalist on the outside, Liberace on the inside. Obsessed with: dogs, dog-like cats, oysters, urban planning, and really excellent stand-up comedy. I'm originally from the majestic state of New Jersey, and live in the Ditmars section of Astoria, Queens. When I'm not photographing weddings, you can bet I'm either reading or writing fiction (currently working on a project set in Pennsylvania coal country, where my grandfather grew up), watching or rewatching great television

We are Roge and Fernando and we want you to know some things about us. We passionately and creatively document love stories. (It feels so cheesy when I see it written, but it’s true.) And we want you to understand that there are no second chances to get it right, and that we are obsessed with getting it right. This is your wedding, our work will tell your story forever, and we don’t take that lightly. At all.

This husband and wife duo is the real deal! I have been in 15+ wedding in my life I've seen just about everything. They absolutely exceeded every expectation. The pictures are just on another level. Their ability to efficiently pose large groups is the best I've ever seen. I seen other photographers waste so much time trying to do this but they nailed it in no time at all. The intimate photos getting ready before the ceremony look like they belong in a fashion magazine. They literally got better and better as the night went on. Our reception was action packed, my wife and I danced a good 75% of the time and every time I looked up from the fun they were there capturing all the genuine happy moments with friends and family. The candid photos are so good , looking through the mountain of photos they gave us feels like living my wedding night over every time. Not to mention they gave us like 100 pictures the day after that we shared immediately on social media. Then gave all the rest to us 1 month after the wedding. I can not recommend them enough... for what they gave me I honestly feel like they should have charged me double.

I stay behind the camera because I'm more than a little introverted. That is, until I get to know people. Then I open up and we can talk about movies, music, dogs (I'm happy to show you pictures and videos of my rescue dog). I love what I do because I get to capture moments between you and the most important people in your life that you'll be able to relive for decades to come!

I’ve known Casey for many years and always look forward to working with him. He’s incredibly down to earth, very kind, quiet, and funny. On a day that is full of emotion, anticipation, and nervous energy, Casey’s relaxed temperament & sense of humor helps couples to relax and brings out their natural smiles & expressions. He has years of professional experience and knows exactly what moments to capture. Casey is genuine and has no show off attitude about him—he’s the perfect choice for real people who want to spend their wedding day with a great guy who will put them at ease & make them look awesome.

We spent two hours with him walking around Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, and the result was a great variety of photos. Jon's got a special eye for lighting, composition and editing. On top of everything, his personality while working made it possible for us to act natural in front of the camera. 100% recommend working with him. I’ve always enjoyed people immensely, from all walks of life and from wherever I’ve been in the world. I’m friendly, easy-going, curious, kind, supportive, and flexible. I listen and observe. These characteristics, combined with my artistic vision and technical expertise, allow me to capture poignant, humorous and truly candid photos of people and their environment.

I searched for a photographer to capture my surprise proposal to my then-girlfriend and am I glad I found Laurie. She was flexible, professional, helpful, and above all really good at taking photographs. We worked through an initial cancellation, she rescheduled with me around the holidays, she knew where and how to take the best shots and she struck the perfect chord of incorporating our wishes during the surprise engagement shoot while standing true when she knew where a good shot would come (and she was right). From meeting with me for a walk-through a few weeks before the surprise to perfectly blending into the crowds at Central Park for the surprise engagement, Laurie went above and beyond and really made the surprise engagement one my fiancé and I can remember forever.

As my Instagram bio says, I'm a country girl by birth, a city girl by choice and a photographer by obsession. I grew up on a farm in a small Midwestern town, but have lived in New York City for over 25 years. As a photographer I say I'm self-taught, but in reality I've had the benefit of amazing mentors and teachers along the way who helped me elevate my work and pursue joy along with results. When not making photos or hanging out with my husband and kids, you can find me with a book in hand or listening to music while indulging my love of textiles at my sewing machine (yes, I really own a sewing machine)! Oh, or dancing! :-)

"I work with a lot of vendors in the course of a wedding season and the ones that stand out are those who bring a positive energy and camaraderie to their work. Amy Milstein is exactly that type of person. Not only is she a great photographer, but she's fun to work with and I've noticed that the couples feel very calm and comfortable with her, which is so important! I'd definitely recommend her to any couple looking for a great documentary style photographer. "

In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.

I have been working with Silver Fox Studios for more than 10 years. John and his team are professional, courteous, honorable and kind aside from being great photographers. On most weekends you can find me, Robert ('Bobby'), photographing weddings—either in New York (where I lives) or farther a field: in various locations around the US and abroad. I find wedding ceremonies to be more than just a series of actions, people, and images to be “captured,” but rather recognizes them as events full of deep personal and cultural significance, particular to a specific time and place and community. As such, I assumes the responsibility of documenting these moments with great respect, believing them to be deserving of a discerning eye and an artistic hand.

We had the pleasure of meeting Bobby a few years ago when my sister got married. When we got engaged, he was the first vendor that we booked. Bobby is an incredibly professional and passionate photographer. His work captures every emotion of the day. What we love the most about Bobby is his calm demeanor and that he blends in with the crowd. He is really flexible and is willing to accommodate all needs. We are currently in the process of making our wedding album and it’s hard to choose the photos, as every one is better than the next. We are forever grateful to Bobby for capturing our special day.

The key to our service is investing in making your wedding day experience great. With this service in mind, we can create beautiful visual storytelling that is singular for you. Our name, Ein photo , embodies that mission. Eins (pronounced [aɪ̯ns]) means one in German, so Ein Photo means one photo. One has many meanings to it, the first, the best, but we look at it as the only one. One couple, with one story, told by one series of photos.

We met with several photographers and knew we wanted Tim and his team to be our photographer after our first meeting. My husband and I both don't really like having our pictures taken and thought our engagement photoshoot session was going to be filled with uncomfortable awkward poses and smiles. We were so wrong! Tim made us feel comfortable and easily directed us when needed. It ended up being a really fun hour and we loved how natural we looked in all of our pictures! For our wedding, Tim and his team arrived on time and captured all of our key moments. They were so efficient and easy to work with the entire day (and throughout this entire process)! I wasn't stressed at all and we LOVE how all of our pictures came out! Thank you SOO much Tim and Joseph! Ein Photography is the BEST and a must for your wedding day!!

I genuinely want to forge a connection, hang with you, and earn your trust. I'll capture everything, and I'll be there for you whether you need a safety pin or someone to wipe away your tears.

Where do I even start?! Our journey with Sydney began 3 years ago when we fell in love with her style and video chatted with her before hiring her to take our engagement photos. From the very beginning, Sydney felt like a good friend, made us feel totally comfortable, and had amazing ideas for great photos. We were above and beyond happy with our photos and couldn't wait for her to shoot our wedding. Our wedding day finally came around and OH. MY. GOD. Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful our photos are! She knew exactly what I liked and somehow managed to capture all the little details and ALL THE LOVE perfectly! I've had multiple people tell me that her photos are the best they've ever seen! Every single one! There weren't just some good photos, they were ALL good! Sydney is very communicative, open to changes, easily reachable, and will work hard to make you happy! Thank you so much for allowing us to relive our perfect day! <3

Natural Expressions NY Photography and Videography is a boutique company, specializing in photography and cinematography. Our photography style blends natural fine art portraiture with the fashionable elegance of photojournalism. Matching our clients’ needs and desires, as well as exceeding their expectations are our main objectives.

Natural Expressions NY did an amazing job - we had the best experience working with Frank and Telmo for photography, and Alex for videography!! My now husband and I knew we wanted to work with Natural Expressions NY for our wedding because they captured my sister and brother in law’s wedding in 2015 so beautifully!! We worked with Frank leading up to the wedding, including creating our schedule for the day of. And trust me, I wasn’t easy - I had three separate first looks (with my dad, my bridesmaids and then of course my groom!). Frank and Telmo were our day of photographers and made sure everything ran smoothly and that we stayed on schedule! Frank and Telmo were also extremely fun to work with on our wedding day, and we felt so comfortable with them! The shots were so fun and creative, yet classic! The whole team is extremely responsive before and after the wedding, and very easy to work with as well. The photos are absolutely stunning and we are so happy with the finished product! I was so elated to receive our beautiful, extremely high quality wedding photos and video - definitely shed many happy tears reliving our day! We love Natural Expressions NY!!

It’s a pretty cool/weird thing when your hobby becomes your job, so I feel like I am still working on being a more well rounded human hobby-wise. I love hiking with my pup Tucker, bringing my hammock to the park with a good book, finding cool events happening in the city, making homemade milkshakes(you haven’t lived until you’ve made a pb&j milkshake with chocolate sauce. Stop reading and go do that now, you’ll thank me later), oh and watching way too much TV! It’s the golden age of television, so how can you not.

I believe photography is a snapshot of life, where a feeling is captured and magically stored in a timeless memory, a memory that can bring you back to that same instant, the excitement of a moment and cherish the tangible feeling of a photograph. I was born in Ecuador where I spent my childhood surrounded by the unconditional love of my abuelita, she now resides in heaven. I was always independent and silly in front of a camera. I wasn’t too much into playing with a camera and preferred to play in the garden, running around, catching butterflies and always excited to find a ladybug, aren’t they so pretty?

The communion of you and your love isn't just about exchanging rings. It's about filling your heart with the smile of the other, having to pour out tears without knowing the reason why. It's about understanding the language that the eyes speak. We celebrate the day we commit to sharing the tears of joy and sadness, and all the special moments in life, by saying 'I do'. We celebrate with the people, who have prepared us each step of the way, whether emotionally, intellectually or physically, for this very moment.

I've had pink hair for the last 6 years so at this point it has become a personality trait and I'm 100% okay with it. I love the outdoors, pat every dog I can, and thrive on ben and jerry's. My ideal place to be would likely be frolicking in wildflowers in a dress that's way too long, but the longer the better. The patio of my NYC apartment with a good book is a close second favorite though, for sure.

The title says it all– not only was Marilyn incredibly communicative, enthusiastic, and kind from the get-go, but she also made the photo aspect of the wedding planning process an absolute delight and lots of fun! My partner and I felt really heard, and also got the vibe that Marilyn was genuinely excited to be part of our day. NOT to mention, her work absolutely speaks for itself– we were blown away by every last photograph! Beyond beyond beyond grateful for Marilyn and her making our special day even more fab!!

I strive to make the world better by capturing love authentically, spreading positivity & happiness, and supporting organizations that are doing the work to preserve our planet & enrich the lives of marginalized communities. With my whole heart, I unapologetically embrace inclusivity & all forms of love.

Awarded Best of Zola
Booking Bailey as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process! We had such a great experience working with Bailey - from booking her, having our engagement photo session in Connecticut, postponing our wedding due to COVID, and ultimately celebrating our big day this past August in Vermont. She is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and flexible. Her photos are absolutely gorgeous and captured our entire wedding weekend perfectly! Bailey (along with her second photographer) had a unique ability to somehow be everywhere throughout our entire wedding day without being intrusive. She captured every important moment and more! One of the best decisions was to also ask Bailey to come to our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party. She was able to capture so many more candids of our guests and detail shots of our venue, and it will be a great way to look back on our entire wedding weekend. I can't stop looking at our entire photo gallery since Bailey sent it and feel extremely lucky that we have such beautiful photos that captured the best day of our lives! Please don't hesitate to book Bailey for your big day, you won't regret it.

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
We are BLOWN AWAY. Completely magical. I am generally not a photo person, but I’m thrilled. Christopher was so calm and professional, and the final results were well organized and easy to share with our family and friends. It's highly impressive given that he barely asked us to pose- we enjoyed the night in full and somehow had all these amazing results (including of our family & friends dancing!)

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I worked with Emily for our engagement shoot last summer and had an exceptional experience. There are a couple key things that contributed to it being such a success that I wanted to call out about working with her. 1. Ease and comfortability. I don't like getting my photo taken and I often feel awkward in front of the camera. Emily's SO talented at being able to distract you from a lens being pointed at you, and making the time fly and session loads of fun. If you tend to get nervous around a camera, this type of professionalism and ability to calm exactly what you need. 2. Flexibility and imagination. Our session was at and around Domino Park, which gave us a lot of options for shots. We asked for certain shots to be done, which we did, but then Emily suggested all these other ideas that were inspired by our look and vibe, and some of them turned out to be our favorites! We really appreciated that imagination and creativity. Overall, I'd recommend working with Emily in a heartbeat.

I'm Chrysa- a self-taught photographer since 2014. My entire life I've always been in love with taking pictures. Whether it was using a Polaroid as a kid, bringing the ole digital point & shoot along to the bars in college (until I dropped it in a vodka RedBull - RIP) or finally growing up & buying my first big girl DSLR in my early 20s, I have always had a flare for anything creative. I'm sure my parents wished I had a flare for performing heart surgery but here we are... I love travel & all things adventure/outdoors (Want to climb a mountain to elope? I'm your girl. Want to exchange vows in a National Park? I've been to 29, count me in).
