Yes. Often worse. Use Waze and allow more time than you need by about 20 minutes. If you arrive early, yay! Have a cup of coffee and bask in the glow.
At your hotel if possible. Parking is also annoyingly difficult in Atlanta, so we strongly encourage Lyft or Uber whenever possible. It takes the stress of traffic, navigation, parking, and driving home out of the picture!
The weather is notoriously difficult to predict in Atlanta, but we expect (hope?) that it will be in the low 80s with manageable humidity. We actually consulted an almanac to figure out which date would be optimal for the wedding, weather-wise, and this time of the year should be, historically speaking, among the best. Obviously, consult the weather forecast and dress appropriately, but we anticipate lots of sun and comfortable temperatures (knock on wood!). Also, given that this will be September, prepare yourself for an onslaught of football talk down here. Welcome to SEC country, y’all (Stephen remains defiant and says “Go Huskies! Go Seahawks! Go PAC-12, except Oregon!”)! #westcoastrepresent
Yes, this is a Sunday evening wedding! We realize that this may complicate travel plans, especially if you have a tight work schedule. However, our hope is that you’ll be able to make a long weekend of it and just enjoy being in Atlanta with us! We promise it will be a good time.
