2007: It's the first day of the 6th grade at Prospect Valley Elementary, Zoe and Spencer stood outside the doors to their classrooms waiting to start their first day. It's not often to have many vivid memories from your childhood, but one Zoe will always have is of Spencer's laugh and contagious smile. For the next year they shared the same classes, same homework, same playground; and had adventures at the same creek behind Zoe's house on warm days. The two went different ways for middle school, but before they knew it they were back taking the same classes as Farmers at Wheat Ridge HS. 2014: Just a couple of Seniors, anxious but ready to take on the new challenge of life after high school. Although Spencer and Zoe only shared some classes and teachers without many memories to call on, they would recognize each other anywhere… 2019: Spencer has just returned home, officially out of the military, and in need of some civilian clothes. Zoe has finished college in Ohio, now back home, and on the way to Kohl’s with her mom for some early Christmas gift shopping. Spencer and his mom walk through the racks of the men’s clothing in Kohl’s, when Zoe, looking for goofy shirts for her brothers suddenly sees a tall and somewhat familiar guy walking around. Spencer turned and recognized Zoe as quickly as she recognized him. The mom’s noticed, and so followed a very memorable, slightly awkward meet cute. Pizza and beers followed a few days later, and the rest they say, is history!
