Zoe and Max met back in 2009 before they started high school. They met on Facebook through mutual friends and instantly clicked! Zoe started going to basketball games at Max's school so they could spend time together and they went to Zoe's freshmen high school homecoming dance together. The rest is history!

They reconnected in 2016 after Max came back from college. Max decided to snapchat Zoe and see how she had been. Soon after, the two were hanging out just like old times. They realized they always had feelings for each other all of these years and they were meant to be!

Their first official date was at Sluggers World Class Sports Bar in Wrigley. Max asked Zoe to be his girlfriend on June 18th, 2016 on the dance floor of the bar/restaurant. After this, the two were inseparable all summer, going to cubs games, music festivals, Zoe's first trip to Aspen and spending time with each others family's.

We got engaged on June 18th, 2021 in Aspen, Colorado at Maroon Bells. Max was incredibly nervous before the two went on the bus up to the destination. At the bottom of Highlands before the bus ride, Max went to the bar and told the bartender he was about to propose and needed a water and a high noon. The bartender proceeded to give him a tequila shot and told him to come back after with some good news! When Max and Zoe made it to the bottom of Maroon Bells, Zoe had asked a stranger to take a photo of them. To her surprise, Max got on one knee and asked "Zoe Madeline will you marry me?" Zoe quietly responded "Yes." Max said "Yell it!" and Zoe screamed "YES!!!" then many sight-seers cheered and exclaimed Congratulations!! The two were extremely happy, possibly the happiest they have ever been in their lives together so far.
