Anna Maria City Pier was originally built in the 1900s and it has become an Island landmark. You will notice that the pier’s planks are each engraved with messages commemorating family members, friends, and loved ones, making it very unique. While strolling around you can have an ice cream cone from Two Scoops across the street and take a walk down the pier. An amazing fishing location and a great place to spot Tampa Bay’s marine life. You can also try delicious locally caught seafood at modest prices at the restaurant with some spectacular ocean views and sunsets.
Pine Avenue combines shopping, the ocean, and local eateries all within one mile. Here you can go shopping for clothing and jewelry, You can also grab a quick bite to eat at Poppo’s Taqueria for authentic Tex-Mex and try the famous Donut at the Donut Experiment. The Avenue Pine Avenue also has many famous landmarks to visit.
Coquina beach is the longest stretch of beach on the southern end of Anna Maria Island on the Gulf of Mexico. Coquina is a fantastic spot to spend the day with family and friends with it’s relaxing atmosphere, calm waters and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the day. The flat beach is lined with sand dunes where waving grasses and sea oats add to the natural beauty of the beach.
Not everyone is a fan of oysters. So for those of you that don’t eat those slimy molluscs, AMOB has tons of other options. AMOB on the Pier is located at the very end of Historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach. More great bars and restaurants on Bridge Street include; Blue Marlin, Island Time Bar & Grill, and The Bridge Street Bistro.
If you're looking for a quiet, intimate setting look no further than Bean Point. This beach, located at the very tip of the island, is a hidden gem and features powder-soft white sand, sweeping views of Tampa Bay (and the iconic Sunshine Skyway bridge), and a unobtrusive, relaxed atmosphere that can be hard find on most public beaches.
Everything you’ll want to enhance your Anna Maria Island vacation is waiting at this friendly rental shop. Bicycles can be rented hourly, daily, weekly or even monthly. Pile the entire family into one of the many large golf carts offered. Get on the water with a kayak or Stand up paddle board rental. You can also reserve a spot on one of their kayak tours.
