Julia and Jon met at UNC Chapel Hill while Julia was getting her nursing degree and Jon was getting his MBA!

Jon proposed to Julia while they were on vacation in Paris, France. He got down on one knee underneath the Temple de l’ Amour (“temple of love”), located on the grounds of Petit Trianon in the Palace of Versailles. His inspiration was The Old Well in Chapel Hill as they resembled each other. Little did he know The Old Well was actually modeled after the Temple of Love!
