We met when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore in high school. We had mutual friends but never actually spent time with one another until the following year. Ironically enough, the first time we ever hung-out with one another was when I third-wheeled a date him and one of my friends were on. So there I sat, watching Planet of the Apes, sitting third-wheel with a man that I would eventually marry. Later in my sophomore year of high school, we started dating! I may have broken up with him after a short month of dating but we won't talk about that. Once we made our way back to one another, our relationship grew stronger. Through high school, college, our first jobs, our first home, to now - We have grown as one and are truly one another's best friends.
Our 7 year anniversary was coming up and we thought it would be fun to take a road trip to Savannah! Our anniversary and Valentine's day are very close together so we always celebrate them within the same weekend. I packed my things for that weekend with 0 anticipation of a proposal. People asked me if I thought he was going to propose that weekend but my response was always, "It's too close to Valentine's Day and our anniversary, I don't think he'd make it that obvious!" The first day we got to Savannah we went to Forsyth Park. We walked up and as we approached the beautiful fountain, a photography duo was offering photos to couples for Valentine's Day - So of course we took advantage! After a couple clicks of the camera, he's on one knee and I'm crying like a baby. Little did I know, he arranged the photographer to be there waiting for us to arrive. I could not have asked for a better proposal and we're so excited to spend our wedding day with you!
