We met in my Introduction to Biology class during my freshman year where Luke was the class tutor. I kept attending his tutoring sessions and once the semester was over, I asked him on a date on Valentine's Day. Fun fact: since our college was in rural Arkansas, Luke surprised me by taking us to the closest pho restaurant (which was two hours away). Nothing bonds two people like making conversation for a four hour car ride!

To celebrate Luke's graduation from chiropractic school, we traveled to Kauai, Hawaii for a week! After several ambitious hikes, we spent the last few days on the island enjoying the scenery. One evening, Luke brought me to a beach on Hanalei Bay to watch the sunset. Next thing I know, I turn around and Luke was on one knee. After five years of dating (three-and-a-half being long distance), I immediately said yes and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
