Her Story

We met in the Sonic parking lot. I had just graduated from high school and I was a social butterfly, so I didn't think anything of meeting Zac. A mutual friend invited Zac to hang out at Sonic with us and the three of us chatted for a few hours. We had a lot of fun, but I figured I would never see this dude again. Somehow, we stayed in contact and the three of us hung out again... and again, and again! Zac and I started chatting a lot and we started to get to know each other much better- he became a good buddy to me! He eventually told me he liked me and I was shocked. After a few days, I had teetered with the idea in my head... maybe this could be something. We went on an unofficial first date (Zac refers to this as our “DTR”- Define the Relationship), and from there, we hung out every day. We talked about anything and everything; we laughed and we cried. We would watch the sun set, and then come back up a few hours later. We got bit up by mosquitos from head to toe, but neither of us cared; we couldn't get enough of each other's company. A few months later we officially started dating, and now, almost exactly 4 years later, I cannot wait to hold each other's hands and announce that for better or for worse, we are in it till death do us part. I love this man!

His Story

I met Summer at 11pm on a summer night in 2020. She was driving her dad's Tesla, and I drove a little gray truck. I was invited to get Sonic with her and another mutual friend, and I immediately thought she was really pretty. We talked until about 4am that night, and she even let me drive her car, so then I let her drive mine. It was a great first night, and I knew from the beginning she was special. As we developed our friendship, she had no idea I liked her, while I thought it was pretty obvious. We met up one day so we could have a “DTR” (christian phrase for Define The Relationship) but we didn't talk about “our relationship” until about one minute before needing to go (giving us a perfect excuse to hang out again). After that, we made any excuse to spend time together: I would run past her house to see her, we went longboarding, I helped her with finances, she helped decorate my room, we watched movies... anything to hang out. Fast forward four years, and we're still those silly little kids! I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with such an incredible woman, and create our future together. I am so grateful that God put her in my life.
