Kelsey and Zachary met at Missouri Southern State University in the Spring Semester of 2014. They attended a Spanish Language Course together and Zach messaged Kelsey asking some questions regarding class and they became friends. A year and a half later, the Summer of 2015, Zach recommended traveling to Guanajuato, Mexico where he was studying at the university. Kelsey arranged an internship for a month in Guanajuato as well and Zach was amazed by her adventurous spirit. By complete chance, Kelsey booked a room across the street from Zach and they were next-door neighbors for the summer. In June of 2023, Kelsey saw memories of Guanajuato pop up and called Zach out of the blue after falling out of touch years earlier. When Zach returned her call, they talked for hours and they both knew there was something special.

Kelsey and Zachary’s first date was at The Belvedere where they attended a friend’s wedding. They danced together all evening. Months later, Zachary surprised Kelsey by taking her to the Belvedere; he had reached out to them beforehand to gain entrance into the reception room. On the dance floor where they had their first date, Zachary proposed to Kelsey…after he ran to the car because he was so nervous he forgot the ring. See you at The Ramsay!
