Question

Rideshares

Answer

As the spirits will be flowing, we recommend using an Uber or Lyft as the safest way to travel to and home from the College of Physicians.

Question

Public transportation

Answer

SEPTA’s green trolley lines stop at Market and 22nd Street, a half-block north of the College of Physicians. SEPTA’s Suburban Station is a short walk or cab ride to the College. SEPTA accepts contactless payment. SEPTA’s Regional Rail, blue Market-Frankford Line, and all Amtrak trains arrive at Philadelphia’s 30th St. Station, which is a 10-minute walk or short cab ride to the College. To walk to the College of Physicians from 30th St. Station, exit the station, and walk east on Market Street across the Schuylkill River bridge towards 22nd St. Turn right on 22nd St; the College of Physicians is in the middle of the block.

Question

Parking

Answer

We encourage you to use a rideshare service, however if you drive, the closest parking lot is located at 2116 Market Street, which is to the left of the front entrance of the College. You will need to walk around to 22nd Street. The fee is capped at $16 for the evening. Debit or credit cards are accepted. Other parking lots nearby: 26 S 21st Street (21st and Ludlow) and 2101 Chestnut Street

Question

Travel from Airport

Answer

The regional rail Airport Line goes directly to 30th Street Station from the Philadelphia Airport. Rideshares and taxis are also available.

Question

Accessibility Information

Answer

For guests that cannot navigate the stairs at the building entrance, there is a service entrance at the side of the building that has no steps. The accessible entrance is available on Van Pelt Street (behind the College of Physicians, parallel to 21st and 22nd street). At the right of the glass door marked “College of Physicians of Philadelphia," you will see an intercom speaker and talk button. Press the button, and when someone responds, let them know you are here for the Snyder/Barnett wedding and they will come to assist you. The ceremony and reception are on two different floors accessible by elevator. A map of accessibility points inside the building will be added to this FAQ soon. Please note that the elevator is only able to accommodate a wheelchair that does not exceed 32" in width.

Question

Dress code

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional. The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour is indoors with an option to explore the beautiful outdoor medicinal garden, weather permitting. Temperatures in Philadelphia range at about 60º F.
